A Pint and a Rumor

So, inspired by the great topic of Zenko News, Here's a topic for all the rumors you can hear as you nurse a pint in the Phoenix Tavern!

Miner: You hear? Mistress Xela's been 'napped!

Worker: You serious?? Does this mean we get time off??

Miner: Like hell! I hear Val and Cala have taken charge. Wouldnt be surprised if we have to work double hours!

Worker: ...Hey, barman, get me another pint!

[Valencia Versthaler]

Miner 1: Did you hear what they did to John?

Miner 2: Huh? What happened to John?

Miner 1: They say Valencia caught him talking about that she would have us all work double time.

Miner 2: Oh god....what happened then?

Miner 1: Apparently he's working 17 hours a day now, with only 6 hours of sleep and a 1 hour break for food.

Miner 2: Harsh dude...harsh...

[Jay Voncloud]

Worker: You seen that new Luca guy?
Guard: The tall white Jackel?
Worker: yeah him, know where hes from?
Guard: Not sure, i heard he knows Xela though
Worker2: I heard hes an old fling
Miner: nono, he was her teacher
Drunk Miner: I heard he was a duck!
*all look at him*
Guard: ...well the thing is..dont you think it strange that someone like him shows up...then This all happens?

[Jannisia]

Worker: You know that white sergal that hangs around the alchemist's place?

Worker 2: You mean his daughter?

Worker: Yeah, she's been freaking out at almost anyone who tries to talk to her. I heard she saw Mistress Xela get taken away.

Worker 2: Odd, she was always so quiet, I can't see her doing something like that.

Worker: Well, everyone snaps. What I want to know is why she didn't do anything, if she was there? What kind of idiot just sits there and lets someone get dragged off without lifting a finger?

[Xela]

Worker: So... did you hear Cala is gay?

Worker2: Seriously? I know that guy attacked her... but daym, it was that bad?

Worker: Must of been, saw her knocking knees with a hot local.

Worker2: D: dont let her hear you were spying on her, remember what happened to John..

Worker: It was just outside this Tavern!

Worker2: ...I need to drink here more often. Barry, how's about another ale!

[Xela]

Miner: So, its good to see things are improving around here.

Worker: Oh, about Val being rescued?

Miner: Of course, even if she does work us hard... its good to have leadership.

Worker: Talking of leadership, have you met the princess?

Miner: Princess?

Worker: Whatshername... Rose. Hazel and Xela's daughter. Seems she's been sneaking into the camp and tavern lately, telling people what to do.

Miner: Bloody hell, isnt she a bit young for that?

Worker: That's what you'd think... but she looks to be in her early teens. Must be some more of Hazel's crazy magics...

Miner: ..I'd drink to that!

[Valencia Versthaler]

Miner: So have you seen Lady Valencia yet?

Worker: It's Lady Valencia now huh? And no I haven't.

Miner: Hey, I don't want to work double time like John! But erm, I have seen her, all bandaged up...and with a huge stomach

Worker: Was that batcat guy stuffing her for a meal? Sick...

Miner: No you idiot, she's pregnant!

Worker: Oh! Well that does mean she wont order us around much...

Miner: Shh! They say she has ears everywhere!

Worker: Aw crap....barkeep, another pint.

Miner 1: Have you seen that new guard?
Miner2: You mean that green husky that always where the hood?
Miner1: Aye, i heard he was from siberia and could out drink a dragon!
Miner2: Is that so? Hey george, you have a drinking challenger!
Miner1: Aye, and he's from Siberia!
Miner3: From siberia? Humph..Best start practicing. Barkeep! Another round!

[Tenaar Feiri]

1: Hey man. How've ya been?

2: Not good, mate... Still really sore.

1: Sore? What from?

2: Y'know that water person that got hired to watch the port?

1: Ah, miss Sparklehair?

2: Hah, don't let her catch you call her that...

1: Nah I won't. So what happened?

2: Well I kinda found her a bit cute, so I decided I'd try and befriend her. Even tho' she's a demon and all.

1: And?

2: I was kinda drunk at the time so I thought trying to kiss her to show me good will and all was a good idea.

1: I take it it didn't go well?

2: No. She got angry, called me a dick and then used her water magic to slam me against the wall a couple of times and then...

1: Then?

2: ...Put it this way, it frikkin' hurts to sit.

1: .... damn. You're gonna need another one of them pints, I think.

2: Aye, I do...

[Xela]

Sailor: So, any interestin' gossip around these parts?

Miner: Well.. it seems we've got two new guards. Magic users too... I hear they are sisters. A fire and a water magic user.

Sailor: Oh?

Miner: Well.. you've got the fire one. She's just outside doing some kind of fire dance. And the water chick is guarding the dock.

Sailor: Aaah, the half naked one? Mmmm, a nice sight when we docked, I must say.

Miner: In other news... Miss Xela seems to be acting odd.. again.

Sailor: How so?

Miner: Every time she visits the Tavern, she seems to be in a different outfit.

Sailor: Well.. duh! she is a woman! 'Course she's going to wear different outfits!

Miner: ...I still find it odd.. ...and since when does she act a woman?

Sailor: You worry too much. Barkeep, a drink!

[Valencia Versthaler]

Sailor: So have you seen them yet?

Miner: Huh? Seen who?

Sailor: Lady Valencia and her mate have returned from their journey.

Miner: What? Really? They have been gone for a good two years, why did she leave again?

Sailor: That whole incident with that batcat, and because she wanted to give birth in her homeland...oddly enough, neither her or her mate carried children with them.

Miner: Maybe she ate them, she is a demon yanno.

Sailor: Hush you! or have you forgotten how she used to punish you workers?

Miner: Aw crap...you're right....barkeep, another pint.

[Husky Dragon]

Eights (The drider who attacked Phoenix on an earlier occasion, and again tonight), has been slain, and her severed head is currently on display infront of the castle.

Workerer #1: Hey, you remember that guy we helped up the stairs the other week?
Worker #2: Yea, the old guy? Didn't he used to work here?
Worker #1: Yup! He was that guard that used to be nice and help us out! Plus he could drink any of us under the table! I swear I saw a younger version of him visit yesterday....except this new guy was wearing noble attire and some armor!
Worker #2: Can't be the same guy! The green huskie never wore a shirt much less armor.
Worker #1: I swears it was!
Worker #2: You're drunk....comeone let's go.
Worker #1: Aww....one more drink. Barkeep!

[Sen]

Wench 1: "Hey, have you seen that incubus around?"
Wench 2: "Which? The dark 'un with the creepy tongue?"
Wench 1: "No...The bunny...Thing."
Wench 2: "Sen? Nah. Not like it matters, 'e never pulls in much coin."
Wench 1: "I haven't seen him all month..."
Wench 2: "I 'ave. 'e was retching something fierce in 'un of tha' caverns."
Wench 1: "Retching? I didn't think incubi ate..."
Wench 2: "Beats me. Couldn't be sure, anyway. 'e ran off as soon as I got close."

[Andel]

Patron 1: "You seen all the commotion earlier?"
Patron 2: "With that Husky fellow and Miss Serene?"

Patron 1: "Aye, apparently Serene's lover had a fling with the Husky's wife and they had a child."
Patron 2: "Wait... isn't the Husky's wife that wolf River?"

Patron 1: "Aye, And Serene's lover is that guard Sono."
Patron 2: "I thought River was his child... That's what he's always sayin'."

Patron 1: "I thought so too."
Patron 2: "..."
