Due to some complaints and my own experiences with events, I want to post this reminder here - which has been posted in several threads in different wording.
The BEST way to get an event arranged for you with outcomes you prefer, is for you to IM one of our event coordinators! We can't possibly know what it is you want if you never tell us.
If you have a complaint about an event, you should, again, IM one of us! Otherwise, whatever you had an issue with is probably going to be in the next event, too - not to spite, you, just because we don't know what you want!
When an EC requests IMs for participation in an event - they're asking for just that! They want you to IM them and let them know. When this is asked for, it's usually so that the EC can arrange a favourable course and outcome of event for your participation!
Bottom line - you want something? You have to ask! Otherwise, it's not going to happen.
