[The following is a copy of the Bible being written by the ringtail Eve (Bandaid Flux) to explain and spread the word of the Religion "Followers of Aer". For now, this bible is a work in progress, both ICly and OOCly. Eve carries a copy with her at all times, and scribes another copy of the bible each night at the Lismore Library. This topic reflects the copy that can be found at the Library, where it is always kept for safe keeping.]
Bible of Aer – Lismore VarientTermology- Aer is the god of Life and Magic. His body is the mana most used in their day to day lives.
- Necro is the goddess of Matter and Death. She was once worshipped as Aer was but has sadly become lost. She is now the sworn foe to Aer and his followers.
- Followers of Aer are the followers and worshippers of Aer, they are those that commit their lives to his will.
- A Spring of Life is a place where Aer's presence is strong and a fountain springs up, full of overwhelming amounts of magic. Each spring is different and is the focus of the Followers of Aer and so each spring has its own variant of the Bible of Aer, written to best suit the priorities of the land. Lismore's Spring of Life is located on the grounds of Zenko.
- Tass (also known as Life Crystals) is the name given to solid manifestations of Aer's form. These crystal like structures vary from spring to spring. The Tass at Lismore is unstable, full of great power, that is also known to explode with Aer's wrath if shocked or overwhelmed.
- Aer's Touch is the term used to describe someone who's body starts to undergo transformation after coming in contact with Aer's presence. This state will progress rapidly towards the Trials, but its strongly recommended that anyone who may not be ready for the trials to seek help to remove this touch. Locally, this is known as Mana Poisoning.
- The Trials is the term used to describe the process of receiving Aer's blessing after receiving his Touch. In these steps, the follower will become extremely sick as both Aer and Necro fight for their soul. Only those with strong faith and willpower will survive, entering a cocoon and emerging Blessed.
- Aer's Blessing is the term used to describe what happens to someone after they pass the Trials. Their whole body will be reconstructed out of Aer's presence and they will receive great powers. These powers, and the colour that his presence forms in on their body leads each Blessed follower into a certain rank. These ranks are highly important, and those of lower rank should always try to follow orders of those of higher rank.
- Healer is the lowest rank of Blessed Follower, usually marked with a White glow and presence of Aer. These followers receive blessings geared towards aiding those of higher rank, such as healing magics and magics to keep them healthy.
- Tool is the next Blessing rank and is marked with a Blue glow and presence. These followers are often very different from one another and are blessed with abilities to suit specific purposes of Aer's will. As a result, every Tool has their own Title that best describes their abilities, such as Oracle for one who receives visions from Aer and Beacon for one who leads and helps with moral.
- Messenger is the next Blessed rank and is marked with a Green glow and presence. These followers are blessed with abilities to travel and to spread Aer's will and presence. A Messenger is usually the first of Aer's followers to arrive at a newly discovered Spring of Life and is their duty to aid and support followers with the Trials.
- Defender is the next Blessed rank and is marked with a Purple glow and presence. These followers are blessed with abilities to keep themselves and other followers safe from harm. This rank marks the first of the ranks expected to actively fight Necro and her followers.
- Hand is the next Blessed rank and is marked with a Red glow and presence. These followers are often powerful warriors, blessed with abilities to increase their combat effectiveness. While not only for melee combat, the vast majority of Hands are deadly in melee and can strike fear into even seasoned warriors they face.
- Rage is the next Blessed rank and is marked with a Yellow glow and presence. These followers are almost always former wizards and mages who are blessed with the ability to better channel Aer's presence, making their magics far more powerful than they were before. Acting as a conduit for Aer's wrath, Rages are rightly feared by Aer's followers for the amount of destruction they can unleash upon an army's ranks.
- Will is the final Blessed rank of Aer. Each Will has a unique glow and presence and are very rare, with only three Wills in recorded history of Aer's followers. Wills are seen as Avatars of Aer and lead massive campaigns against Aer's foes. Every Will's duty is to destroy and fight Necro's forces, finishing their crusade with an explosion of such force that nothing is left behind for miles except for a new Spring of Life.
