An Investigative Mission from the LIAA!

The Institute of Arcane Arts calls out to scholars and adventurers alike, to assist in the investigation of a recently discovered abandoned graveyard. Travel by gryphon is recommended, since that island is a bit outside the known territories. The Institute would provide the location to anyone interested in assisting in this expedition. There will also be a reward for all who contribute to the investigation if it reaches a satisfying conclusion!

(OOC: This is a first time experiment to have some investigative RP mission open to all. The goal is to provide an event scene for people to RP there, find stuff, discuss it and post any results, theories or findings on the forum to progress things along. The advantage of this is that it can be played at any time, and does not need the constant presence of a GM. By using the forums to pool the results of such RPs, it gives the GM time and opportunity to react to actions and come up with consequences if needed. This thread is to be used to post and update mission progress. The event site is currently to be found on the event island. Without further ado... happy RPing ))

((So is there actually stuff set up somewhere in SL, or is this all purely forum-based? Is there going to be a "kickoff" post that explains what people would find when they go to the graveyard, or should people just make stuff up?

I like the idea of stuff like this, just want to make sure people know how to play properly in this particular sandbox. ))

Yes, I have setup the event site, and there are clues and stuff to be found, to aid in the RP when people go there to RP out the expedition and research To give a totally made up example: they find a clue at the site, that requires additonal RP with a specific person, or research in a place back at home in Lismore, where there might be something else to be found.

The idea is basically to provide an opportunity to grab some friends and go there on a small adventure So I d say, it is a mix of stuff being provided on site, and then adding whatever you like. I ll try to react to the things players find out and pool as a research here on the forum, or InGame.

(( As of today there is also a teleporter to the event location near the gryphon and the big teleporter, so people can easily get to the location now ))
