Running away/Escaping a scene/Leaving a scene

During RP there comes a time or moment where you are either forced to leave ICly either due to circumstances such as, but not limited to: running away scared, fleeing from a fight, leaving in a fit of anger, etc or when you have to leave due to RL interference. While it is understandable you want to leave the scene quickly, it is proper that you always wait until everyone has posted so that you know for sure there is no one hindering your leaving. This allows people to react to your departure and either do nothing or intervene it.

In case of having to leave due to RL interference, please note OOCly that you have to go due to such, especially during combat scenes. This allows your fellow roleplayers to take note of it and you can have arrangements made to what happens to your character while you have to leave. We know that RL always comes first, but keep in mind that if you know you don't have long or will be leaving soon, then please do not start things. It is not particularly fair to the other players if you start something like a fight or such and then have to go because you're tired.

On the note of Rage Quitting, just don't do it. Rage quitting is when a person gets so annoyed/pissed off/angered due to an RP, be it normal or combative, that they will simply leave the scene or log off without a word. This is unwise to do, first of all it leaves your character fully defenseless for the other players who may injure your character or worse, kill them if they were in a fight. Further more, it is shitty RP to simply drop out of it because you're too angered to continue, it is even more shitty if you log in moments later to RP the same character elsewhere in the sim. That is just horribly wrong.

Leaving a scene without properly waiting for others to respond, or rage quitting during RP is considered an offense which you will be warned about, multiple offense may leave into punishment, so please don't.

Yes! Thank you for posting this. I've had so many RPs where a character I'm engaged with suddenly posts an exit in mid-conversation and just walks off out of chat range. It's annoying! >.<
