The authorities would announce that the protective barrier, cast by the Tower of Radiance, is being tested!
When the barrier was activated, pretty much everyone within Lismore and neighboring islands regardless of their abilities could have felt
something had just happened somewhere.
The barrier poses no threat to those inside it, however demons and creatures of darkness or dark alignment would feel discomfort coming in contact with it. While the barrier is up, flying in and out of the island isn't possible, but the portals to the various locations within the empire and out of Lismore still work as normal.
The barrier engulfs all of the city island, and Cruentus Island. It will remain active for a few IC days while it's being tested.
The barrier's primary goal is to protect Lismore from attacks from an enemy known as the Void, but tests will be performed to establish the viability of it being used against other foes as well!
