Abstract: Collie has been released in exchange information and promise of naval support/ protection. Agreement sealed in demonic contract. Also the release of Blake and Misery where obtained.
[2300] … Miriamella: “Good to see you, Athian.” Shed call out to the other guards “Take positions, double patrols from now on in the vicinity of the tower during the Emperor’s visit. Dismissed!”
[2301] Valencia Versthaler: Chuckles softly. “No, but I am certain you’ve given a couple of those already during your time here.” She says with a smirk, when the Emperor and Athian arrive she would nod her head in greetings and move to stand closer by the wall.
[1305] Xahu Fu Sheng: nods to Miri and to ShaRroos and to Valencia, and he approaches the cell where Collie is, and while he doesn’t smile to the prisoner, his tone is pleasant. “Collie ‘Madfing’. I trust your stay in our cells has been satisfactory at least, although a little lengthier than originally intended…”
[2309] Athian Hoggard: joins Xahu on his right side. He nods at Collie: “Well we met again. Your visit sparked a lot of discussions. Your offer even more so. We are, however, finally at a point where our Emperor has gone though a lot of sessions with various dignitaries and how is able to formulate an official response.”
[2313] ShaRroos: ensures the crystal is recording and sets it gingerly on the couter. The sentries snap to attention and salute the Lieutenant as they depart. “Ma’am understood!” With that the guards march up the stairs to carry out their orders. ShaRroos looks around the room and sees all the armed sentries where just dismissed. With that she un-slings her own bow. A light tap on her quiver to ensure it is there and ull.
[2313] Collie; would give a sly grin to Valencia, but his expression becomes serious when Athian and Xahu arrive, nodding his head softly, “I’m glad that I’ve been able to spark such interest in my time here.” He says, before nodding to Xahu. He was sorely tempted to the notion of the delay only being a little one, but he speaks soon enough, “Yes, the guards have been quite kind and respectful.” He says, before letting the Emperor proceed.
[2314] Miriamella; would let the Emperor and his council members do their thing for now, but shed join her Quartermaster and observe what was going on, her expression calm and determined.
[2315] Valencia Versthaler; would stay where she was for now, just silently listening.
[2320] Xahu Fu Sheng; nods to Collie and says more softly to him, “… I trust you understand your extended stay was for your own safety… not only we had to assess the potential threat from those who want you dead and almost accomplished that, but also from those who might have had past encounters with you may just thing they might try and rid the world of you… As Lord Athian said however, we believe it’s time to get things in motion…”
[2328] Athian Hoggard; nods at Xahu’s words; “It is hard to weight your past deeds against the good deeds that still have to come – but we do see potential within you and we wouldn’t be here if we are not confident that we can come to an agreement. The council has prepared a list of some concessions we consider necessary, I think by and large it is what we have talked about before. Lord Xahu here might have some things to add or some things to specify in more detail. But I sincerely hope you will take this as your chance at a new beginning, Collie”
[2330] ShaRroos Steps aside and allows room for Miri to stand next to her. She double checks to make sure the crystal still has line of sight on the parties in the room.
[2331] Collie would keep his attention focused on Xahu for the time being, Giving his head a halfhearted nod to the explanation, though he’d give a more pointed nod to the mention of things moving on, “Yes, I couldn’t agree more… I imagine you’ve heard the details of the different offers and conversations that took place with the other council members?”
[2332] Miriamella keeps listening quietly, crossing her hands behind her back in an attentive stance.
[1333] Valencia Versthaler was still listening along, she didn’t have much to say right now, and her actual role would come later in this all.
[2335] Xahu Fu Sheng nods to Collie, and says softly, “I have been made aware that you have been making proposals… and that others have been making… let’s call it ‘demands.’ But Before we get to that…” She motions to the guards “I have granted the Guard permission to release your son as soon as they deem it safe – f for him and for our citizens. So you will be pleased to know he’s free to go… as soon as it’s safe, like I said.” Doesn’t hurt to start out by giving their prisoner something to be pleased about that he can’t use against them.
[2337] Athian Hoggard briefly glances over to Xahu with a smile for this gesture, then trains his eys on Collie to see how the fox will react to it.
[2340] Collie would give his head a nod to Xahu’s mention of his son’s status, as he speaks, “I’d heard that, and I think you for it. Two years was a long time for a man his age to be locked away in a cell.” He says, perhaps subtly suggesting he isn’t happy that Black was left in prison at all, though he seems to be in good disposition so far. Though he does comment on the first part, “I think it’s more accurate to say mutual discussion was occurring. There wasn’t any real hostility involved.”
[2356] Xahu Fu Sheng nods and says it again simply, “…it was for his protection. The boy will be alright, and you will be there to watch over him and watch him grow, provided we come to an agreement.”, and he makes a brief pause, then begins again. “…The Council has a few requests that need to be addressed. First and foremost, we need everything you know about Doncoutle, Everything, fro how much sugar he puts in his coffee to where his troops are deployed, mo detail is to small on what comes to that foe…”
[0000] Athian Hoggard gives an emphatic nod; “We share an enemy in that man. We both know how important it is to take him out of the picture – as well as what a major undertaking that will be. Of course, I intend to help destroy him, so I have no cause to restrict information from you.” He says, before nodding to Athian, and speaking to both of them with the last, “My record keeper will provide you with an absolutely comprehensive detail of my information on him.”
[0006] Xahu Fu Sheng nods to Collie and continues then, saying simply, “Second, we would like you to share you knowledge of the seas with us. A sailor of your caliber sure knows the best places to make berth, which ports are hostile and which ones are friendly, who and what ships frequents certain ports… However don’t think we want you to just give us information and then we toss you out. As part of this whole deal, you will be offered a … ‘job’”
[0007] Miriamella is still listening in and waiting for any orders or any necessary actions to take but so far was going smoothly.
[0009] Athian Hoggard is listening for now, curious if Collie will come around to pick up the Lismoreian flag and work for them.
[0015] Collie would consider briefly, and gives a nod to Xahu.. “Aye, Even with all that information, I imagine your trading will still greatly benefit from armed escort and additional cargo ships. I have no problem with agreeing to those terms. Though am curious about the particular job you had in mind.”
[0018] Miriamell would briefly give a signal to some of the other guards and calls out “Get Blake’s possessions from the fault and have them ready at the OoD desk. Thanks…”
[0021] ShaRroos thumbs her bow. Her ears flick as she listens to the guards on the next level. Armored boots call down from the top of the stairs. “Yes Ma’am Blake’s personal affects to the OoD Desk!” The conversation in front of the rabbit recaptures her focus.
[0031] Xahu Fu Sheng says simply to Collie, “… the word some use for it is ‘privateer’, but that implies too much a state-sponsored piracy… Wed don’t want to give you free reign to continue your old ways, but we can give you a list of ships and nations and flags that we don’t mind what happens to them. WE will not charge you a percentage of any profits you make from these enterprises, as like I said we will not be sponsoring you. But we will welcome the opportunity to negotiate with those you may come to prey upon once they realize that they have a problem in their hands that can only be solved by a positive attitude at the negotiations table. That kind of course and whenever necessary we would like to count on your naval forces and expertise if we, say, require escorts for precious cargo and things like that.”
[0036] Athian Hoggard chuckles: “It’s not independence, but perhaps the closest to it you will get, considering your history. You can remain the decision-makers, the one in charge around your men. You are still by and large calling the shots. But Lismore’s interest will also be your best interests. But this also means that your men will always have some honest work to fall back on. And how far your own enterprises go still is something only for you to decide. As long as they don’t negatively impact the kingdom”
[0040] Miriamella gives Shar a little smile. She is proud to see the bunny having become so much of a presence within the guard and the town in such a short time She’d then focus on the talk again.
[0041] Collie would listen carefully to the explanation of the next demand, as he glances to Athian, “I’d consider it independent enough. It’s the type of work I was intending to engage in anyways.” He says, though asks for to confirm to Xahu, “To be clear… I’ll be working with Lismore not for it. I’ve no reason to engage in meaningless piracy, but during times of conflict for Lismore, I would certainly be glad to employ my Navy’s skills against it’s enemies, and be protect trade ships anytime. Regular piracy, at the least, won’t be an issue. It’s unlikely that a pirate ship of any representation would attack a trade ship escorted by my flag. “He says, before then asking if there weren’t any further debates on that point, “Are there more requests?”
[0045] Xahu Fu Sheng nods to Collie, and says softly “That basically covers it. In very short: You provide us with information, you make yourself and your naval resources available, you don’t cause /us/ trouble, and if proper, we got your back! There is a catch, though: None of us here is capable of simply trusting you will do things as planned. Don’t take offense to it, while we are willing to believe you, trust is a different matter. And even if we in the small group here trusted you, there’s a need to appease the many whom you have caused offense to in the past. So… my aunt Valencia here has drafted a demonic contract for you, simply as a guarantee that you will stick to your word”
[0046] Athian Hoggard clears his throat: “One point I’d like to add, since ti was quite imporatn to the members of the council: The ports you and your men hold, Collie. We like to see them open to ships under our flag. It will greatly benefit our trade vessels to have these extra harbors to either resupply or seek shelter”
[0048] Valencia Verthaler flickers her ears, as she is mentioned, she would glances up before than stepping up to the cell. Though she waited still, first waiting for Collie’s reply on the whole demon contract thing.
[0050] Mirimella could not help but frown slightly. Well, she is a palidina after all. But she would nto comment on it for now.
[0050] Collie would slowly smirk to Xahu’s words, as he nods his head…. “Alright, then… I believe we have an agreement.” He says, before he gives his head a nod to Athian, “Of course, My ports are open to my allies, I go to great lengths to make sure they’re as service-ready as possible.” He then chuckles to Xahu, as he speaks, “Regardless of my sincerity, I hardly expect you to trust the word of someone who’d held my profession for so long. I expected something of the sort, and am quite ready to sign a binding contract. Though…If I might make a request of my own. One of my ranking Lieutenants, Misery, was caught disguised as a regular visitor, poor little girl missed me so much… Might she be free for release? She’s of no threat to you if we’re allies, she’s bound to me by contact of her own Voluntarily signing, but still quite binding.” He says, before stepping up toward Valencia, and resting his paws though the bars to show he was ready to deal with whatever contact had been prepared, though his wandering gaze suggested that he was going to want to read the working before he signed anything.
[0057] Xahu Fu Sheng listens to Collie, and he arches his brow, and gives Miri a glance at the mention of this other person supposedly under custody, “… do we have this Misery person, Lieutenant?”, and he nods to Val to give Collie the contact. It is basically as Xahu explained: Collie does not cause them any harm and follows the orders of the rulers of Lismore, and in exchange he’s not only set free but allowed to return to his ships and command them as he sees fit… so long as it does no harm to Lismore or it’s peoples!
[0058] Miriamella would nod softly “She was put into the cells bellow the areana, She is well, given the circumstances.”
[0100] Athian Hoggard nods at Collie: “You will see that Lismore makes for a great ally. And once we both have proven ourselves loyalty to the pacts. It should serve as a great foundation for the future…. Something to build upon for years to come.”
[0102] Valencia Versthaler would hand over said contact; it mostly entailed everything spoken here but in more official and fancy wording. “I assume you know what a demon contact means right?” she questions the fox, she knew he most likely did… but just making sure
[0103] ShaRroos shifts uncomfortably as the mention and work of Demon magic is discussed. The whole magic thing eludes her, demon magic even more so.
[0108] Collie would give his head a nod to Valencia, not taking long to thoroughly go though the contact. Before he nods to Valencia, moving to turn over a paw, seeming disturbingly experienced with the gesture of cutting a slight cut with one sharp claw. Dipping it inside the would for blood, and moving to sign his name to it, “We’ll just say I’ve had extensive first hand experiences. Most long in the past, but… still.” He says, looking to Miri briefly as she speaks, before nodding to Athian, “Aye… And it’ll be nice to give my son and daughter something that they could be proud of inheriting from me. Riches and the loyalty of so many men and women are nice, but with the constant threat of death from the nature of the work, and having such hate leveled against them from the world… I see no worth in it. It took the time I spent here and the words I shared with a few of my regular visitors….” He says, offering Miri a brief smile, “To Realize what sort of a future I was creating for them they say having children changes a man, and… Perhaps it finally has.” Before finally looking to Xahu, once he offers the contact back to Valencia.
[0111] Xahu Fu Sheng offers Collie a simple stoic nod, and he says to him about Misery, “… as standard procedure, our people will make sure Misery is of no threat to us, and she’ll be released to you as soon as possible.” , and he gives Miri a glance, so that she will make it so whenever convenient.
[0112] Miriamella would return the smile softly and simply say “I am happy if I was of any assistance:” She nods to Xahu then. “I’ll see go visit her after this and handle things from there.”
[0115] Athian Hoggard smiles: “With that contact out of the way we should, consider establishing liaison men between Lismore and your forces. There should always be one of your men around Lismore to speak for you and give us your general perspective on issues as well as a representative of Lismore that will have a place on either your fleet or its headquarters, who will serve the same function vice versa”
[0116] Valencia Versthaler would take the contact back, reading the signature for a moment and raising a brow; she would then roll it up and slip it under her belt. “I was considering adding some small print, like that you can’t cuss, or only have sex with wrinkled elderly women… but you’d probably kill me if you found that out the hard way.” She says with a devious grin.

But one does not become experienced with demonic contacts without reading thoroughly every one they’re given.” He smiles to Miri then, as he nods. “I know she’s difficult. But she’s good once you get to know her. She had to grow up in a pirate’s world, and experience in that environment taught her she needed to act tough and abrasive to avoid being taken advantage of” He explains, nodding in agreement with Athian, “I’ll be choosing a representative just as soon as we make it back Perhaps Blake, if he desires to spend more time around here after what he’s been though. If he’s going to take my place someday, he’ll need to start learning how to take that role and learn the skills it teaches.” And lastly, he inclines his head, as he speaks, “May I be released, now? At the risk of sounding impatient… it has been a very long time since I’ve seen the sky.”
[0123] Xahu Fu Sheng nods to Collie, and says simply, “…welcome aboard, Collie,”, and he motions to Miri to open the Collie’s cell and release him, since now he’s been rendered harmless to them.
[0125] Miriamella would get the keys and do it herself… walking up to the cell and unlocking it, then opening the door and step aside. “your free, Collie…”
[0127] Athian Hoggard offers collie his paw: “Welcome back as a free man, Collie. And also.. welcome as one of our allies.”
[0128] ShaRroos re-slings her bow. Now tht the prisoner is no longer such. Her paw fishes into a purse and pulls out a pair of gold coins. “Collie, as promised, first round. I am sure you can find the way?” The Gold is flicked to the fox. ShaRroos nods to her LT and turns to close the recording crystal.

Pirate Collie has offered of his on his own volition detailed information on Julian Rowch. Individual is a known enemy to the interests of Lismore. It is highly unlikely if this individual can be taken alive. It is advisable to kill on sight.
