This is OOC-information, mostly here to keep players in the loop of things if they can't follow the day-to-day happenings. It also helps to show that stuff is happing in accordance to the ongoing event. Members would be able to pick up on the information shared here IC, given they had good opportunity to meet and talk with other Winter-White Guardians. Other than that, please disregard this for your IC actions unless active roleplay grants you access. There is a small, but growing, resistance group looking into the strange circumstances of Lord Xian Fu Sheng's death and the disappearance of his wife, Lady Dru, and son, Prince Xahu. They are trying to find out the truth and - if necessary, add in freeing/rescuing Dru & Xahu and later helping them regain their position and power. While they would like to see the Valentines removed should foul play can be proven, they are first and foremost there to help keep violence and bloodshed to a minimum, not to act on some people's need for revenge.
They try to recruit people that show loyalty towards the Fu Sheng family and/or a healthy distrust to the current regime, without resorting to extreme measures. For example, they probably won't try to recruit you if you are prone to rage against the Valentines in public, drawing the attention of everyone- including them - on you. That would not be healthy for a group working in secret. Potential members should be able to act with subtlety and guile. Recruiting should take place IC, but feel free to arrange situations where you can meet up with members in order to have yourself included in this line of RP.
There are different people helping to share the new findings among members and communicate on plans. Members should try to meet up with the respective member that fits their social circle or is someone they commonly meet during their daily lives, so that outsides don't see a huge group of different people all flocking to the same place/person.
Currently these spokesmen of the Winter-White Guardians include:
- Aryn Gentlepaw, cook of the Rabbit Hole, able to fill you in if the tavern is mostly empty or if you order some food (or him, as he works as an escort, too) to your room.
- Athian Hoggard, the rotund lord is one of the supporter from the nobility and the WWG are using his house for meetings or storing small equipment at times. He can be best approached by other members of the high society as well as people that deal with or deliver foods of all kinds. Among the WWG it is known that he keeps up appearances of working with the Valentines in order to protect the resistance under his care.
- Navaru Sil'Dur, Anubian Jackal, priest of Anubis and necromancer, working for the Zenko. He is the liaison with the Zenko, who can be considered unofficial allies of the Winter-White Guardians. Attention: Navaru has been arrested & was later freed from jail. He currently resides at the Phoenix.
- Radem, famous purple rabbit slave and head farmer of Lismore. Probably best approachable for those that are workers and servants themselves, as well as anyone who has business with the farm or the infirmary where he can be found during working hours.
Things that are the
state of affairs among members:
- As many already suspected, the whole takeover by the Valentines was nothing but a coup. The Valentines gained the written note from Lady Dru by threating the life of her son.
- Lady Dru, Prince Xahu, Ewyllyn and Ike Harem have been freed from imprisonment with the help of a Winter-White Guardian strike team under the lead of Zerah The Reckless. Their current base is down at Phoenix, where they are preparing the Rise of the Guardians against Lady Fang.
- Edhel Valentine is indeed dead, some say his head was briefly on display at the Phoenix.
- It is currently unknown if Navaru Sil'Dur still is able to bring the deceased Lord Xian Fu Sheng back from the dead.
- A demoness was dispatched by inquisitor Miriamella Cantara Solis and paladin Roh Amen Ra on temple grounds. They claim the demoness was tying to kill the gryphons.
The following advices and warnings have been issued:
- Under no circumstances involve members of the town's branch of the Valentine family into the resistance business.
- Don't attack or provoke members of the Valentine famliy and their allies unless it is self defense: We want to minimize violence, not drive them into doing something stupid.
- Be aware of Lady Cena Valentine, as she has a huge bounty on her head. She is known to seek contact to the resistance, but right now it would be best for her to lay low. Avoid being seen with her.
- Please refrain from holding the Valentines at the temple (like Vhel'jen) responsible for the doings of their relatives. There still is a chance that they could prove helpful for our cause.
- Lady Valencia is working for the Valentines, albeit against her will. She is either being somehow 'controlled' or blackmailed into it. Please don't confront her unless the situation forces your hand.
- Lord Emir is supposed to help/work for the Valentines, he is not to be trusted.
- If possible, the temple should be kept as neutral ground.
- Members who need a good excuse for traveling the tunnels below the city may can talk to Lord Athian and Radem about working part time on the mushroom farms as a front.
