Kami has managed to escape captivity of the desert and has returned to Phoenix.

After a great deal of peaceful negotiations, lord Lucian of the city of Lismore declared Phoenix no longer a territory of the city, and recognized it a sovereign faction. At same time an alliance treaty between the city of Lismore and Phoenix has been signed by Hazel and Lucian, promising eachother mutual cooperation and support.

The higher ups at Phoenix were informed of this new independent status, though no further management details were given yet. The leaders of Phoenix are to assemble sometime to decide on a body of laws. Until further notice, the current laws still apply.

Xela is leaving Lismore to take a break from things.
It might be for a few weeks, it might be for months, who knows!

Either way, Hazel is in charge during this time.

A lioness was imprisoned in the castle's dungeon after she attacked Radem and Hazel attempting to assassinate them. She was unconscious at the time of imprisonment so interrogation is still pending.

She is taking it easy for now as she rests up from her off-land business, but should become a common face in the caves once more!

Phoenix needs YOU!

To prepare for the threat that faces Lismore in the coming month, Phoenix is hiring able bodied workers to help build walls.

In addition, Phoenix is buying large amounts of long life food supplies, wood and timber supplies and pelts.

Lookouts will be posted at the entrance to Phoenix at all times. When the pirates are spotted, the drawbridge will be raised and Phoenix will prepare for siege. However, plans are in place in order to ensure that thoes inside the castle will be safe even in this event. And so all residents of Lismore are urged to seek shelter at Phoenix when the Pirates arrive.

In addition to aiding with the walls when she can, Kini the deep abyss dragoness has made a very generous donation of a boat full of supplies. The supplies include a good deal of cloth, salted fishes and meats, dried fruits, and breads. The dragoness refuses to comment on the matter.

Production at the mine has now shifted towards gathering stone instead of ores. This stone will be used to build up defences, and stockpiled for the rebuilding that will likely be required after the attacks.

A refugee camp is being set up in the main cavern containing the mine, and the usual 1 gold a week fee to live down in phoenix has been dropped.

Another murder has occured, this time Sera has fallen victim.
Raiders have also made landfall and so Phoenix is now on high alert.

All new arrivals will be strip searched. All weapons will be confiscated, returned in time of battle or when leaving. (And this is a faction of rogues, dont think hidden weapons wont be found ;3 )

The drawbridge will be raised at all times, and guards on the barricades will perform searches and give the order when arrivals are OKed.

The assassin is dead!
The assassin, an unnamed otter, was cornered in a cave in the forest and accepted her death without struggle.

Weapons are now permitted in Phoenix and searches are not required, as the immediate threat of assassins is no longer present. But guards will still keep an eye on thoes that arrive and the drawbridge will remain raised at all times.

Sethos has resigned from his role as Brothel manager. The few followers he has left would be seen helping him pack up this things to leave the island.

Phoenix takes a stand!

Given the recent actions of Lismore's leadership and the harsh taxes imposed upon Phoenix for no good reason, Phoenix has decided to take a stand.
Phoenix no longer supports the city and its Valentine leadership. While no hostile actions will be taken, trading of coal and ores will halt immediately.

Thoes that wish to seek refuge at Phoenix are welcome to do so, however no more than one Valentine will be welcome at Phoenix at a time. All weapons and armour will be removed at the gates, while guards will remain armed.

Should military action be considered, Phoenix also states that tass-mining charges have been fitted into the roof and floor of the caves. Should Phoenix's gates come under attack they will be detonated and the ground under the city will be brought down, destroying the city entirely.

It is with great sadness that I have to announce that a number of members of Phoenix have gone missing in recent days, including Xela herself.

From what has been found out so far, it appears that Collie's pirates may be linked to their disappearance.

Until Xela returns to us, I, Zeela, will take charge of Phoenix to ensure its day to day running.
Munak will be taking the role of leader of the guard during this time.

Everyone was went missing has now returned. Physical wounds have healed and the mental trauma can be handled with some good ol' Phoenix company!
