Deep in the woods near the city, by the ruins of what used to be the Tirrenelda' Temple, we have encountered a peculiar form of insect: Bees that have evidently been corrupted by the once overabundant mana or tass available in the island of Lismore.
These peculiar insects are of a deep cobalt blue color, they glow slightly a shade of blue, and they seem to be made of organic crystalized mana (aer).
Like other mana corrupted animals, they are classified as manabeasts.
The honey they produce is blue in color, but its properties have not been fully studied. Because of the undeniable mana content, the honey is to be considered extremely toxic and dangerous to non-manabeasts. However, it is possible that it could be a good source of tass for manabeasts that require to consume it as part of their diet.
The sting of these bees is charged with a manacorrupted version of a regular bee's sting, causing not only the same effects a normal bee's sting would on an animal, with the added toxicity of tass that is dangerous to non-magical and non-corrupted animals. A manabee's sting is thought to be able to induce initial stages of manacorruption.
Manabees are found to be extremely aggressive and territorial and they should be avoided because of the added danger their mana-infused stingers present to non-manabeasts.
More information will be added as these insects are further studied.
