Demon scouting party attacks the Palace

[Radem]

Thanks to Ashtyn and Caex for running this scene for the late night brigade, and thanks to everyone that attended!

Log follows. I would encourage folks with feedback about the event to get it to Ashtyn and/or Caex, or even post here if they have civil feedback they're comfortable with sharing. What went well, what do you wish had gone differently?

I've tried to trim out the OOC chatter and such.

[2012/06/02 02:08]  Lava Demon errupted from a minor fissure that occurred on the ground right before the city palace. Up there the rabbit might have heard what might have sounded like a tiny gassy blast, followed by the smell of sulphur, very unusual for the air around here. The lava demon would then boldly climb up the steps of the palace, and approach the bunny where he sat, as direct as she could be, "Good evening, little furry creature.". Mischief and malice very evident in this creature's voice.
[2012/06/02 02:12]  Radem 's long ears pivot upright at the odd sound, though it is a city, there could be all manner of sound. The scent, however, is out of place. One paw lowers to the flat seat of the chair as the rabbit prepares to rise, perhaps to go and check on the nearest alchemy lab, but he pauses at the sight of the creature before him. He tenses rather obviously, picking up not just nuances in her voice, but prey instincts screaming at him to bolt. "Hello," he replies, his own voice taut with tension. "And just what brings you to the palace of Lismore?"
[2012/06/02 02:15]  Zarcoon stalked behind the palace, staying low to the ground like a panther of some sort. as he neared the wall he'd dig his claws into the stonework and climb up the side, he could barely hold back the joy of it all, little snickers, quivers, and spurts of supressed laughter bellowing out every once and a while, the lot of it followed by gushing liquid fire as if he was drowning in lava. this of course did not seem to agree with the vines growing up the side of the building... in fact, the vines were quite adverse to being burned... they didn't like it one bit
[2012/06/02 02:16]  Ash Hammerthall grins wide and full of malice. While she doesn't have the fearsome fangs most of the people around here have, her grin might as well be more scary than that of any carnivore the bunny has met, "What brings me here? You, rabbit.", and she glances around, obviously noticing where the rabbit is seating, and that there is quite a lot of magic about him, so she is cautious at first, "...so this is why you are so important? The kitsune is training you to replace him?"
[2012/06/02 02:17]  Barret Vadise was walking toward the tavern of the city, when an intense heat hit him. Familiar of that heat he stops and starts to look around. Climbing up the stairwells he stops when he sees teh back of a familiar figure and staff. Giving a slow but quiet growl as he lowers into a crouch and tries to slink his way closer toward the demoness.
[2012/06/02 02:21]  Radem takes in a breath. Not good at all, this little situation, and when he hears someone behind him he quickly rises; a rabbit is safer on his feet. "Me? Unlikely. You're quite confused, clearly. Should I assume you're a "visitor" from our local cavern then?" the rabbit inquires, none too polite under a thin layer of civility.
[2012/06/02 02:24]  Zarcoon contenued to climb up, his claws reaching out to grab hold of the pillars on either side of the throne as he climbed. leaning forwards the heat of his breath began to catch the fabric alight as he slipped his head through it, snickering, laughing, and giggling the pit demon glaired towards the rabit with hunger in his eyes. "you will serve, or you will burn"
[2012/06/02 02:25]  Lava Demon continues to approach the rabbit as he springs to his feet. Her stare could burn a hole in the rabbit, so hard she stares, asking with that voice so heavy in malice, "Why are you so important that the lord of flame and darkness wants you?"; her overconfidence, such as to reveal her mission like that, seems to show she doesn't consider this mere purple bunny a threat, as if all that's been keeping her from grabbing him by the ears and dragging him back to the hole she crawled from were her curiosity.
[2012/06/02 02:28]  Barret Vadise hearing a second voice he curses under his breath, though the third is what makes his entire body tense only a moment before he moves slowly up the stairs, slowing down as he nears the top. Keeping himself just out of sight while he adjusts his  placement to put his back to the wall a little, a paw  just above the hilt of his katana.
[2012/06/02 02:31]  Radem makes sure to keep his distance from either demon, and in fact holds up his paw towards the more eloquent of the pair. "If we're talking, you need to stop right there and tell your dog to stop too," the rabbit says. "I think you have your creatures crossed. There's nothing of me to want. The owner of this building, that might be another story, but your master had best reconsider his options before crossing him," the rabbit warns.
[2012/06/02 02:34]  Zarcoon snickered as he moved over to cling to a single piller, eyes widdening as he clung close to the pillar, long burning tongue slithering from his maw as he actualy licked the pillar, molten marble dripping down below as he taunted the rabbit with a look of hunger in his eyes, sure he was licking the stone, but he was looking at the lappine.the demon's mucles tensed, he wanted to lash out, chaos itself was calling him. the sweet sound of destruction so close he could almost hear it on the horision calling his twisted name
[2012/06/02 02:46]  Barret Vadise shifting slowly he grips that hilt before sliding the blade out a little. Taking a deep breath he comes up fully and around the pillar into full view before he speaks warmly, but firmly. "And what do we ha...." he falls quiet and finds himself staring at the large creature hanging on the pillar. His grip tightening as he drifts his gaze between Zarcoon and the demoness, then finally to the rabbit with a slight swallow.
[2012/06/02 02:48]  Lava Demon doesn't seem about to stop as the bunny would like her to. But her approach is still cautious, still not understanding what's the deal with this rabbit., "Listen to what the mighty Zarcoon says, bunnyrabbit. Come with us and your life will be spared...", and she turns to see the one with pink hair. That malicious grin of hers, already familiar to Barret, shows itself again, and she chuckles, "You again? Wasn't getting your pretty ass burned once enough for you? Zarcoon, destroy him! I will fetch the rabbit!"
[2012/06/02 02:52]  Radem 's glance at Barret is brief, for a moment wondering if there's yet another potential assailant to deal with. He's about determined that this is not the case when the slender demoness barks her command, cementing his suspicion. Still he keeps his distance though, keeping the pillar between himself and the larger demon, and space between himself and the recent speaker. "I'll be going nowhere with you," he says, pulling a pair of blades from the braces he wears. "We can still talk about your peaceful withdrawal from this island, but attacking the home of its leader... or me for that matter... is only going to bring doom to your house."
[2012/06/02 02:54]  Zarcoon was moving his head ever closer towards the rabbit, tongue lashing out over the marble leaving molten paths in it as he inched closer towards the rabbit, he wanted to feed, it was maddening. he was about to forsake his foul quest to bring the rabbit back alive and give into hunger when the lava demon spoke to him. at that point his head was but a short distance away from striking range from the rabbit's own. hearing the lava demon's words though, he burst from the pillar with demonic grace. the claw marks in the pillar were still sizzling and molten as he made a hungry dash for the feline like a flying freight train
[2012/06/02 02:57]  Barret Vadise hearing the order and knowing who she meant almost immediately he had to think fast and in such tight confines he was forced to run to the side and away from the beast. For now he needed to get room, and being a distraction was a good way to do it!
[2012/06/02 03:00]  Ash Hammerthall grins to the rabbit as the larger demon goes about his new assignment, and when she speaks again, her voice is surprisingly softer. Malice is still clear in it, but there's something increasingly alluring about the way she talks, the way her voice sounds, like a siren's call, "You shouldn't hold on so deary to these truths you believe to be absolute, bunny boy... Atami's flame is dying, and in the end, there will be only darkness. Join me and the lord of darkness now and you will be rewarded... wait too long to realize where you belong, and you will be punished instead...", and she extends a hand, all Oooh so inviting to the bunny, attempting to charm him thus, "...come... come with us..."

[2012/06/02 03:06]  Radem 's eyes widen briefly. An out! He really needs an out right now. His eyes narrow, and then he growls. "There is more than one flame that burns in this world, he hisses, responding to her attack of will with an attack of steel, a quick flick of his arm at the elbow sending a bright blade in an arc at her fingers. "Leave!"
[2012/06/02 03:09]  Zarcoon dug his claws into the marble pillar as the feline dodged out of the way, using it to rip his way around via his momentum. as he came around the bend the pit demon literaly exploded into a thick black plume of smoke that wreaked of charcole. zarcoon's smoke envoloped the area around barret, his eyes dancing around the thick smoke leaving traces of flame dancing in tehir wake.... barret was now being haunted by the pit demon... although this haunting was not so harmless as simple dresser drawrs opening and doors slamming. the smoke was choaking and hot, as if being surounded by hot ash.
[2012/06/02 03:12]  Barret Vadise having run to the edge he gets caught through the plume of smoke which makes him fall over the edge and land on his stomach, causing him to gasp and inhale that hot ashy plume a bit. the suffocating heat making him cough even as he slowly crawls back to a kneel now on the lower platform. He was already at the dis-advantage from the lack of sight as he tries to grab for his sword hilt again.
[2012/06/02 03:15]  Lava Demon isn't about to let the rabbit have a cheap shot at her, pulling her hand back when he throws the knife at her. The demon grits her teeth in a bit of a snarl, never liking it when others resist her, and she throws in another seduction attack at the bunny, taking a step closer to him, like one cautiously approaching a wild animal, "It doesn't have to be this way! You could be powerful! You could become a lord yourself! Are those slave cuffs you wear? And a collar? Come with us, and you shall wear no slave marks any longer!"
[2012/06/02 03:19]  Radem turns his face only briefly to look at the ugly cloud a short distance away, but quickly enough his focus is back on the threat in front of him. "Lord of what? You just said there will be only darkness. What would be left for me? For you? What are you if not a slave to your master's commands, demon?" the rabbit demands, throwing the creature's offer back in her face.
[2012/06/02 03:20]  Zarcoon lashes out within the cloud of smoke. arms meterializing within it to strike at barret. the smoke itself seemed to condense to form the apendage to strike at him
[2012/06/02 03:25]  Barret Vadise drawing his katana while kneeling he soon feels the first of many claws digging into him, leaving gashes and open holes against his body, the smoke and ash making them sting and his eyes tear up. The sword coming around and swinging up with him as he stands into the second claw, this one bringing him to scream as his flesh is torn open as well as his vest. The pain bringing another lungful of ash and smoke that makes him fall back to a knee in a coughing fit.
[2012/06/02 03:29]  Lava Demon grins to the rabbit, and since he wants an intellectual conversation, she gives him one, hoping to prolong the exposure to her charms, still trying to seduce the bunny, while the other demon keeps Barret busy, "...you mortal creatures and your lack of vision! Darkness is not just a black space! Come with me, and I will show you how mighty and how rewarding darkness is! I come from darkness, and yet I have a body and spirit and even trinkets...", and she pats pats her staff on her other hand to show that thing is not part of her body, "...come with me, rabbit... abandon your doubts about the darkness, you will see, you will experience bliss...!"
[2012/06/02 03:34]  Radem grits his teeth, not really understanding the nature of the attack, though he can feel the force of the creature's presence on him, and he actually pants softly with the exertion of resisting, physical tension being something he can at least understand, using that to reinforce his mental fortitude. "And to show it off, you must walk in light," the rabbit concludes. "And might, you say? The last of your master's messengers I saw sent out was turned away at the temple." He forces a grin, attempting to unnerve the demoness. "In fact, I seem to recall _your master_ turning tail and fleeing back to his dark corner. So sure you fight for the winning side?" The grin fades. "Go. Find another keeper, another place. Do you have a soul, demon? What will come of you when your body is destroyed?"
[2012/06/02 03:37]  Zarcoon formed his head right infront of barrets, eyes wide with gleefull hunger as he seemed to feed on the burning pain that barret was in, he'd suck it all in, savoring the moment of anguish. two fog like hands coming round to clasp the feline's face in their menicing claws. "in the fires of the deepest of the frozen hells i shall drag you, and i shall watch you burn and write in torment" he would taunt.
[2012/06/02 03:42]  Barret Vadise giving a slow growl when he's made to have his head hold still. His sword twisting in his paws as his eyes open to stare down that glowing orange demon for a few moments before he Twists his wrist and tries to thrust his sword up through Zarcoon's lower jaw with a disgruntled growl, his fur, cheeks, and ears all felt the intense heat of those claws as they held his head still, he was already bleeding from several gashes along his body, and he wanted out of this cloud. The one time his armor may have helped and he forgot it entirely!
[2012/06/02 03:45]  Zarcoon let out a pearcing roar that seemed to shake the ground. ripping back and away the fog burst into diffrent directions before reforming to form zarcoon's body as he lashed about, ripping the sword from his head he'd toss the burning blade asside as molten fire dripped form the wound. roaring out zarcoon had gone bursurk, fire erupted from his maw like a guiser of fire bellowing forth from a volcano roaring up into the sky
[2012/06/02 03:48]  Lava Demon moves slightly closer to the rabbit, pacing her movements very carefully, trying not to let Radem notice she's getting closer, "...My master did not turn tail and fled, my master spared this island from the destruction that would ensue should your kitsune choose to fight him! Just like you say what's the point of being the lord of it all if it all is nothing but nothingness? No, darkness is not nothingness. Darkness is so much more, and you shall come with us and experience it!"
[2012/06/02 03:52]  Radem stands his ground for now, apparently not noticing the subtle motion just yet. "I know what I saw. I know what I _felt_. It was scared, you and I both know it," the rabbit says, toeclaws scratching the tiles beneath his feet, pulling another blade into his paw. "Don't try to trick me, witch. Darkness has no place for people like me. I won't walk with you. Get out of my house," he spits angrily.
[2012/06/02 03:55]  Barret Vadise dropping to his knees from the pain of the claw marks he groans, blood was drooling down his furred back and chest, attempting to catch his breath on his hands and knees it was now as well starting to fall onto the concrete beneath him. Shallow, but long coughing fits leaving his throat as he tries to have the fresh air fill his lungs.
[2012/06/02 03:56]  Dru pauses as they arrive, looking pleased "Oh goody..a challenge!"
[2012/06/02 03:57]  Taketa looks over at the winged creature before them, never having a seen a demon before. "Be careful.." Glancing up the stairs, he'd see two other individuals. "What are they doing?"
[2012/06/02 03:58]  Lava Demon still doesn't seem intimidated by the rabbit, as she continues, ever so slightly, like an expert hunter, to approach Radem, being cautious not out of fear of him and his knives, but as to not startle him and risk him bolting before she can break his will and grab a hold of his mind. She continues speaking with that ever so lovely voice, seeming to sound even more pleasant to the ears with every passing moment, "You do not know fear, you could not have felt it in anyone else. My master feels no fear, he is fear! But you should fear him only if you attract his wrath. If you please him, he will reward you! He will break the bonds of your slavery! He will lift up high and make you a lord... Think of the beautiful fields you could farm to your heart's content without ever fearing death or old age, or loneliness, or someone taking from you anything you have... Oh, you don't know what that's like, because you don't have anything, right? Slaves don't own anything! Why not change that? You don't have to continue a
[2012/06/02 03:58]  Lava Demon  slave to this place... come with me...", and she extends a hand again, now almost within touching reach of the rabbit...
[2012/06/02 04:02]  Xian Fu Sheng first glanced to the winged demon and then up to the other demon near the throne. "Being hostile, what else?" He simple says in reply to Taketa, the mana-beast circling around and slowly approaching the winged demon from behind. "I'd advice you to aid the purple bunny."
[2012/06/02 04:02]  Zarcoon seems to have forgotten about the wounded feline at his feet. the still burning and neigh molten sword of the feline now lay near  dru's feet. bashing his head into the wall he'd roar in pure and absolute rage as if to tear down the wall itself. fissures of molten rock imbedding themselves into the wall as he turned to look towards the newcomers. the mangled body of the feline behind him as he started to stalk towards the group of newcomers, roaring out as a jet of fire left his maw. if the group of heros wasn't carefull, they'd be consumed by the blaze. one once said, it is never wize to stand infront of a dragon, that same person perhaps never heard the dragons speak of demons in the same manner

[2012/06/02 04:03]  Taketa nodded, following Xian's advice and bolting up the stairway. Once there he'd try to get a better look at the woman with the staff, seeing that she was quite hot - literally - he'd avoid approaching her any further, drawing his blade. "Get away from him!" He'd call out, with a slightly nervous undertone.
[2012/06/02 04:06]  Radem still doesn't move away for the moment, glaring at the demon before him. "The only reason he hasn't attempted to burn this island to nothing is because he fears exerting himself, leaving his stronghold, or both. I have seen his messengers come and go, and no one has been given this offer before. You're only offering me... I don't even know why you're offering me!" he says, shaking his head, eyes going wide as he realizes just how close he is to the beastie.
[2012/06/02 04:08]  Barret Vadise coughing again even as he's rather in danger up until the demon walks away from him, he had stopped coughing but his breathes gave slight black plumes. His fur had become a darker white and seems mostly of ash. A paw was moving toward his front gashes as he hisses and can still be lashed at by Zarcoon's tail.
[2012/06/02 04:10]  Dru pushes with her strong legs to jump dodge across onto the stairs "I'll fight with you Xian..." she she'd call, just missing the flame, and sticking in cover for a moment, charging blue ki into her paw ready
[2012/06/02 04:14]  Xian Fu Sheng would roll to the side in order to evade the flames, he had no interest into being burned alive tonight, not again at least. Moving to stand up he also simultaneously moved forward and reached his left arm towards the fire-breathers lower jaw in an attempt to grab hold of it.
[2012/06/02 04:17]  Taketa listened to what Radem was saying, taking a few steps closer and pointing his blade at the Lava Demon. "So this is a demon too? You're trusting it, are you..?" He'd ask, giving the purple bunny a quick glance. "Are you okay..?"
[2012/06/02 04:18]  Sethos seems to have walks up a lovly rear view of the demon. He heard the scream from quite a distance away . moving at a quick pace he reaches to grab one of Barrets arms and pull him away from the fight.

[2012/06/02 04:20]  Lava Demon grins to the purple bunny, saying in that incredibly pleasant-sounding voice, "...why you? Because you are different. You are special. You can make a choice, that will make you into a great powerful lord, or you can remain a slave, looked down at by all these creatures around you whom you call 'friends'... Do you think they care for you? You are just a tool, a device for them to accomplish their goals. Here you are someone's property, a servant, a slave! ...come with me, and you could be a king!". Taketa, as he approaches the demon, would be very likely to hesitate in whatever action he was about to take. Something about this creature, and the way she talks, seems to get a male's attention, her voice so melodical and pleasant to the ears.
[2012/06/02 04:24]  Radem doesn't move but he seems to be on the defensive, partially transfixed at least by the creature's voice. "No... no," he says shaking his head. "It's all lies. You tell me what that thing _really_ wants, why he _really_ sent you," the rabbit says firmly. His eyes waver a little, briefly narrowing as he thinks back. It was clearer before...
[2012/06/02 04:25]  Zarcoon roared out in defiance as he slammed his head into xian's hand before he exploded into a black plume of ash, sut, and smoke before making a Bline for the rabbit who was charging up for an attack or ability. just as he'd done with the feline, the pit demon would not "haunt" the rabbit. no longer having the menicing toying nature he had before, now it was all about hunger, now was time to feed! zarcoon's eyes danced around the haunting like two little willowisps....
[2012/06/02 04:29]  Barret Vadise having been left entirely alone, to his own surprise he soon erks loudly and suddenly before mrewling aloud in pain as he's grabbed by his arm and pulled away, His gashes had been cauterized by that demon, though now he had deep, long open gashes in his body front and back, lungs full of ash and soot, and was so in pain all over now that he almost barely move.

[2012/06/02 04:32]  Xian Fu Sheng covered his muzzle at the big plum of smoke and would move his way to where he knew Dru previously was in order to stick close to the bunny.
[2012/06/02 04:32]  Taketa would pause for a moment, hearing the demon's voice. It was soothing, almost hypnotic in a way. After a few seconds he'd manage to snap out of the trance, raising the sword once more. "I bet you'd only be trading once master for another.. Just a guess, though." He'd say, Strafing to his right, he'd try to get in besides the Lapine and Demon, blade pointed straight at her face, the fox's guard up as he glared at her.
[2012/06/02 04:35]  Sethos keeps on dragging the feline until he is out of view of the fight. Pushing him up so he is leaning against the building he simply says "Say here Barret.. until this is over." ina  very null, emotionleess voice. Yet he gives the feline s a kiss before he stands back up and heads back around the corner to join the fight.
[2012/06/02 04:38]  Ash Hammerthall glances at Taketa, but doesn't seem to take her attention away from Radem, trying her hardest to make him crack, and seeming to be getting there. To deal with Taketa, she says simply to him, sounding like a lovely girl who's unhappy about some big strong man who's just hurt her feelings, "...such a rude one, aren't you? Leave us please, this doesn't concern you!", and her body seems to glow slightly more than the molten lava normally would. The temperature near her rising, considerably, as though one were standing right by a very intense bonfire, but strangely.... Radem doesn't seem affected, or maybe is far too seduced to be stepping back. Whichever, she speaks to the bunny again, extending her hand towards him, offering him that seductive hand, "...come, my lord, allow me to be the one to show you your new kingdom, where you shall obey and work for no one...!"

[2012/06/02 04:45]  Radem seems stunned, his jaw drops a little and he stands straight up in a more relaxed pose. "My... lord?" he repeats. "I've never... never been," he stammers, one of his knives hitting the tile with a soft clink as it slips from his furry fingers. "Never..." he repeats, a soft lapine gaze settling on the demoness. His ears go bolt upright. "Never!" he snaps, the word spoken loudly and angrily, his other paw and the knife it still holds jabbing at the outstretched demon hand, mindful of the body between him and the creature.
[2012/06/02 04:45]  Zarcoon's smoke cloud was filled with hot scorching ash like the aftermath of a volcano eruption. being inside the effects of the haunt was like being inside a oven of sorts. the scorching heat of the demon's rage seemed to be made manafest. a clawed fist made itself form from the very smoke itself mid swing in order to colide with the rabbit. if she wasn't careful, she'd get a rather unplesant feeling in the back of her head. the demon wasn't fighting fair, then again, whoever heard of a demon fighting fair? wherever drue would go, the haunting would follow.
[2012/06/02 04:47]  Barret Vadise slumping to his ass he groans as he holds a paw to the three gashes on his chest, he was breathing heavy and trying to calm down, his scabbard being pulled and set aside as he is set away from the battlefield. Though he does enjoy the kiss before he just leans onto the wall. (and from here I get skipped cause i don't really do anything more except breathe)
[2012/06/02 04:52]  Dru tries see, breathing as slowly as she can with her nostrils as closed at they can be. The heat distracting but not impossible for her to bear. Experienced enough to keep her cool even though the temperature was high. The rush of movement nearby making her react instinctively and she raises a paw up do cover her head, twisting her body around at the same time. Not her usual deflective block, and it'd bruise her forarms to block it, forcing her to stumble back and lose her powered ki to air
[2012/06/02 05:00]  Xian Fu Sheng did not seem too bothered by the heat, but then again this is the man that has been set on fire several times in his past. He had closed in on the bunny and would catch her when she stumbles back to prevent her from falling. He did let her go again after that and scoffs. "So this is what you demons resort to, cowardly tricks. What is it demon? Are you afraid to get hurt? Broken? Killed? Coward...." The mana-beast of course, was provoking the beast to take a full physical form again.
[2012/06/02 05:00]  Taketa would take a step back as he began to sweat from the intense heat surrounding the demon. Attempting to put a hand on Radem's shoulder, he'd try to back away with him. "Except your master.. Right?" He'd chime in. "Sorry, you're making us hot and bothered.. literally." Man, he had a million of these. Giving Radem a brief glance as he lashes out at the creature, he'd clear his throat while keeping his sword pointed at the Lava Demon. "C'mon..! Need a bit of distance or we'll end up fried."
[2012/06/02 05:03]  Sethos stan behind the fight, movingbeside the wall to keep out of view... waiting until the moment is right to strike.
[2012/06/02 05:06]  Zarcoon's anger only seemed to rise with the passing moment,s the taunts wernt helping. as his anger rose, so did the heat. the smoldering burning heat within the effects of the haunt was only growing in intensity. lashing out at dru with an attack at her face with a clawed hand the demon would roar out as he did so. the ground tremmering slightly as he did so.
[2012/06/02 05:10]  Dru tries to push herself off her footpaws, jumping just over the railing of the stairs if she could as she knew it was there. hopefully avoiding the attack if she was lucky. She aimed to get right out of this smoke. If nothing went wrong she had a plan to clear this smoke, though it would cost her a lot to perform
[2012/06/02 05:12]  Xian Fu Sheng grinned widely, with Dru jumping out of the way it would mean the claws went right for him, and if so he would reach out to attempt and grab hold of them following by a good yank onto it.
[2012/06/02 05:15]  Lava Demon at first doesn't seem like she's even going to be bothered by Radem's knife, but as that blade stabs into her molten lava flesh, the creature feels an incredible amount of pain from the knives having been blessed by the temple high priestess. She shrieks with pain, and quickly moves back. Having lost her cool with all this, she aims her staff now at the rabbit, showing with typical demonic anger, "You filthy flesh creature, you could have had it all! Now I shall kill you!"

[2012/06/02 05:22]  Sethos moves a bit as he sees a opening, moving forward towards the demon he lifts his hammer up. Dashing he swings it downward, striking the ground several feet before it.. but a rippling shockave, like a artilery shell went off where the hammer hit is sent towards the Balrog. It is directed at it.. not at anyone else but they can still feel it.. just not as strong. With lick he will hit the exposed part of the demon that is there.
[2012/06/02 05:23]  Radem looks again at the green fox, but he's not quite sure what the vulpine is talking about. The staff, now that can't be good, and the rabbit hops forward quickly, as now he's the one that wants to keep close to the demon. Planting one of his large feet on the stone his other leg lashes out in a fast kick, trying to drive the staff from the attacker's hands. "And you could have survived the wrath of the fighters on this island!"
[2012/06/02 05:24]  Taketa would look between the Lava demon and the pool of water as she backed up from them. Narrowing his eyes, he'd get a bit of an idea. As Radem charges at the demon, he'd strafe to their left, lining himself up while the Lava Demon was distracted before charging straight at her, attempting to pierce the creature's side with his blade and push her into the nearby pool.
[2012/06/02 05:25]  Zarcoon's hand stayeed meteralized even as the demon moved with dru as she tried to flee. however as the shockwave hit the demon's form rushed back to xian's grasp, roaring out in rage that his meal was being delayed. so he did what any pissed demon would do, try and gouge the mana beast with his horns and tusks all the while breathing fire all over the place
[2012/06/02 05:31]  Lava Demon shouts, aiming her staff at the rabbit, "Lord of shadow and flame, give me the power to smite your enemies!", and her staff glows bright red, as though it were a piece of hot iron from a blacksmith's forge. A bright and large flame errupts from the tip of her staff aimed at Radem, just as it's kicked, scorching the wooden door behind Radem a bit and sending sparks and stray flames in the direction of where the other demon and Dru and Xian seem to be. She then Uufhs! with the impact as Taketa pierces her with his sword, but all he gets from her is an angry stare, and a flaming hand reaching for him now to grab his own hand on the sword, and if she grabs him, it would be basically as though a chunk of molten lava just splashed on the green fox's arm, causing severe burns!
[2012/06/02 05:31]  Dru shakes her head as her vision clears "Xian...hold him as long as you can!" she knew the manabeast could do that. She had a clearing line of sight to her target now. Cupping her paws at her side she'd charge her most powerful attack, she aimed to get rid of this thing quickely, moving around so that Xian's back might not be to her if she could. A tongue of energy licking around her arm and trawing a deep line of blood as it cut her body. Splattering the ground with her crimson life

[2012/06/02 05:36]  Radem gets his foot back under him and steps forward, getting the strength of his hips into his follow-up attack. With the demoness looking elsewhere, the rabbit brings the short blessed blade to bear, driving it towards the lava demon's chest, where her heart would be were she a living creature of flesh and blood.
[2012/06/02 05:36]  Xian Fu Sheng grinned wickedly know, the combined effort of him grabbing that arm and Sethos' attacked revealed the demon to him just as he wanted. He would move his right arm to grab hold of the demon's horn as one tusk struck him right into his guts causing the male to growl but he wasn't done just yet. As those flames began to erupt he would move to forcefully shove his crystallized fist right into the larger demons fire breathing maw in an attempt to basically cork up the fire.
[2012/06/02 05:37]  Taketa would raise a brow as the demon didn't seem to budge. When she grabbed onto his hand, he'd let out a loud cry in pain. While his leather glow would help against the immense heat a little bit, the fox's skin would still burn from the demon's touch. However, being the stubborn bastard that he was, he wouldn't give up quite yet. If Radem's knife would find its target, he'd take the oppertunity to keep pushing, bringing his shoulder against her stomach as he attempted to tackle her into the water.

[2012/06/02 05:43]  Lava Demon seems less affected by Taketa's sword than she is by Radem's dagger. She knows there's something 'bad' about that knife, so she, being an experienced figther, blocks the blow with her staff. That does leave her open to Taketa to push her back a little, but she pushes back against her. Her body being entirely made of molten lava burns just as much as if the green fox were trying to nudge a chunk of lava from a volcano with his bare body, and now very angry, the demon starts to spill flames from cracks in her skin, giving her a mishaped aura of flames. Still Radem seems strangely not anywhere near as affected by her flames as poor Taketa would be...
[2012/06/02 05:43]  Sethos quickly follows up with more attacks as the demon has come back into view. As it attacks the mana beast... he swing with his hammer, tring to smash its leg with a great deal of force. His own ability to creat pressure waves amplifies the force of it If it hits.. its going to feel like a 500 pound weight just slammed into it. Eather if it hits or not he follows up with a downword slam, tring to hit it in the back.
[2012/06/02 05:47]  Zarcoon roared in defiance to xian, cutting off his flaims as the beast shoved his fist into the demon's mouth. ripping his head free of  xain's grasp he'd chomp down with his molten teeth as liquid fire began to ooze out of the beasts maw like lava falling from a volcano. as the strike hit his leg though the demon seemed to buckle, a explosive pyroclastic surge erupted from the air around the demon, and soon with the next strike, another blast of the surge washed over the area around him. simple cloth would be caught alight as the demon roared in pain, extending it's wings the demon would flap them, gusts of scorching air slamming down in the air as he started to take off, chomping down hard in an attempt to drag xian into the sky. he'd clutch his two hands onto the demon's arm that was in his maw as if to keep him there as he tried to take off.
[2012/06/02 05:48]  Radem cringes instinctively, murmuring to himself as the heat increases, nothing more than a whisper and unlikely to be heard over the din of combat. He hasn't yet noticed that his shirt has begun to smolder and smoke, and he renews his attack, pulling out another blade and attacking with it in a sweeping gesture, trying to clear the demon's guard before driving the blessed knife forward toward her chest or neck once more.
[2012/06/02 05:49]  Taketa gritted his teeth as the demon's skin seemed to burn him, his hand and shoulder getting the worst of it. While his strength was fading, he had managed to get the creature closer to the water, which gave him a glimmer of hope and kept him going, using the last of his strength to attempt one more slam of his shoulder, just below where Radem's blade -hopefully- hit.
[2012/06/02 05:53]  Dru hops herself back as she charges her attack, a little further away from the explosive fire, though the edges of her skirt caught alight she would deal with that hopefully in a moment. Her power charged by now she'd wrench her paws forward at the demon, power blasting from her palms in a wideish beam of white light. Around a foot in diameter it would power toward Zarcoon, if it hit, it had the potential to strip flesh from his very bones. Though the cost on her Ki was massive
[2012/06/02 05:54]  Lava Demon once again growls with anger and blocks Radem's dagger with her staff, and aiming said staff at the rabbit, the tip of the staff errupts in a huge blast of flames, originally aimed at Radem, but that ends up sweeping all over the area up there, causing the curtains to catch fire (if they hadn't yet - I don't remember), as she's shoved back once again by this very pesky green fox. The step from the throne area towards the pool is unseen to her, causing her to lose her balance and stumble backwards, losing her balance... one tiny push away from falling into the pool...!

[2012/06/02 05:56]  Xian Fu Sheng groaned when the tusk was pulled out of him, with the molten hear flowing around his crystallized arm he would growl and act to extend his blades right within the beasts maw as it lifted him from the ground. This also caused the feline to jab his other set of blades towards the demon's face in an attempt to stab him in the eyes.
[2012/06/02 05:58]  Radem shrieks as the flames lick over his flesh and he drops to his knees, body twisting at the waist as he turns away from the billowing blaze coming from the staff. His ears tuck behind him and he covers his head on either side with his arms in a vain gesture to protect himself from the horrid demonic flame.
[2012/06/02 05:58]  Taketa would pull himself away from the demon, clenching the burnt remains of his hand. Glaring at the creature, he'd grit his teeth and bring up a foot, attempting to kick her straight in the face and into said water. After said things were done, he'd fall to the floor, curling up in pain now that his body was covered with several severe burns he'd received.
[2012/06/02 06:02]  Sethos catchs a gimps of what the bunny in doing. Making sure he is not int he blast wave of the attack.. but still he does something at last Lashing his had in a cutting motion another ear shattering pressure wave leaves the demon. This time however it is a tight wave, barly even a milimeter across but is roughtly 5 feet tall. He hopes thst the very acute wave would hopefully cut the demons body in two.. but he knows that sometimes they can be far harder then even rocks. As the trail travels it cut sinto the stone floor.. slince being vertical hot horizontal.
[2012/06/02 06:05]  Zarcoon was managing to lift xian off the ground a good bit when the stuborn mana beast stabbed him in the eyes. the attack ripped out the back of the demon's spiked head causing it to roar in pain lashing about. in anger the beast ripped his face free of the bladed arm in his maw and kicked away from the mana beast. clawing at it's own face the demon bellowed in rage as the wounds sealed over with molten fire. the rabbit's attack smashed into the demon's wing on the downward flap, cutting into it like a welding torch before being ripped off. falling to the ground the demon was angered beyond belief. stabbed in the head, it's wing removed, and the mana beast was barely any worse for ware. then the pressure wave hit and teh other wave took the beating. the stone like feathers being sliced in half. screaming out in incomprehendable rage the demon actualy ripped his remaining wing from his body and tossed it asside before it would make to grab the mana beast and pummel it.
[2012/06/02 06:06]  Lava Demon had the chance to glare at Taketa once more, and as he tried to kick her so high, the creature would dodge, avoiding the blow! .....but in doing so, she completely lost her balance, and fell backwards into the water. There was no warning hiss or blast of steam, the lava demon instantly exploded in a violent erruption of super-heated water vapor and chunks of steaming hot rock flying everywhere, no doubt damaging the structure of the pool, which takes the blunt of the steam blast, but chunks of her still fly off dangerously in every other direction.
[2012/06/02 06:09]  Dru pants as she watches the effects of her attack "Darn....still alive" she murmers, she'd have no choice though but to take a moment to catch her breath while the beast focuses on Xian. Clutching her bleeding arm as she drips crimson still. And not only that she caught a big hot pile of semi molten rock on her shoulder, burning her and making her yell as she tries to brush it off in fast swipes
[2012/06/02 06:09]  Radem 's cries of pain abruptly stop - it appears they weren't of pain at all, but instinctive fear of the flame. The rabbit kneels on the ground, patting himself and his intact fur, though his shirt is long gone and his leather shorts are patchy and smoldering. The rattle of the ground under his feet is enough to prompt the purple rabbit to hit the deck, flattening his body to attempt to avoid any flying demon chunks, army crawling back behind the stone chair atop the platform.
[2012/06/02 06:10]  Taketa would be sent flying across the area, landing near the stairs like a sack of potatoes. There he'd just lie, groaning in pain. Well, at least he's not rusty.. Just burnt.
[2012/06/02 06:14]  Xian Fu Sheng was forcibly kicked off the demon and slams with his back first into the ground, he groans heavily and even more so when a bit of hot rock slams right into his knee causing him to growl out lowly. He gruffs as he looks up only to see the demon coming down to him, in a last ditch effort the mana-beast sits up to prepare himself, blades held back and would only thrust out in the final moment when the beast pummeled, sure the knock back would KO Xian but if he was successful, the demon would have a total of six blades stabbed into or even through his torso.
[2012/06/02 06:18]  Bahiti Valentine pants heavily as she finally reaches the Palace after she'd caught word of an ongoing battle there in which several friends where involved. Her ears pick up on the sounds of it as she approaches and once she arrives, she quickly scales one of the columns up to the platform with the fire on it to get a good look at the situation.
[2012/06/02 06:18]  Sethos ears perk as he hears the bang from above, moving he trie shi best to dodge some of the raining bits of lava demon but ends up with a few nice burn holes in his cloths and some singed fur. Now that the demon is focusing the mana beast. Swining his harm yet again he tries his best to land it sqare in the middle of its back, wanting to break its spine to disable it even more.
[2012/06/02 06:22]  Lava Demon exploded. All that's left of her seems to be chunks of solidified porous lava rock scattered across the palace floor, and a dirty cloud of debris floating on what little water is left in the pool.
[2012/06/02 06:23]  Zarcoon slammed xian down onto the ground and started going to town mauling the mana beast. his blades sinking deep into the demon, each strike causing another surge of pyroclastic energy. the air itself seemed to catch alight with each blade's impact. out the back of the demon was the six blades, though as xain lay limp on the ground the demon reared up before being smacked back down by the hammer blow. roaring in rage the demon wrenched up removing the blades and grabbed xian by the leg before hurtling the mana beast at sethos. if sethos was hit, well xain was rather heavy, weighing around 3 to 4 hundred pounds. if sethos dodged, well xain would fly ala ragdoll over the edge of the palace wall and down to the ground below sufficently mauled with wounds that would be lethal for a mortal. roaring out he'd rush dru. gobs of red hot boiling magma seeping from each wound. the demon's demonic energy all but used up, not that it gave a damn in the least mind you, it was bursurk, it had no concern if it was near death
[2012/06/02 06:23]  Zarcoon not. the pyroclastic surge that had erupted from the hammer blow would have been more than sufficient to ignight fabric
[2012/06/02 06:25]  Radem peeks around the edge of the chair, but with no demon in sight anymore, at least on the platform, he gets to his feet and crosses the mosaic. He hops past jagged chunks of cooling rock, crouching to check if Taketa is alive.
[2012/06/02 06:28]  Dru charges ki in both her paws as she's attacked, her dress still smouldering but she had no time to deal with it now as the beast attacks her so directly. Waiting until the last moment in it's charge before jumping, aiming to literally somersault over if she could, at the apex of her jump she would try to slam each ball of ki either side of the demon. Hoping the force might be enough to crush it's head, though the pain of the movement of her wounded arm would make her stumble when she landed
[2012/06/02 06:28]  Taketa would be very much alive, the fox groaning in pain as he continued to hold onto his burnt hand. His shirt being nothing more than a charred remain. "D-did...we.. get it?" He'd ask, glancing up at the purple Lapine.
[2012/06/02 06:31]  Bahiti Valentine's eyes go wide as she sees the beast charge towards Dru. She quickly leaps from her perch, towards the monster, aiming to try and strike its head with her feet. She didn't call her best friend's name or anything; vocally announcing her presence added the risk of the enemy jerking away and messing up both their attacks!
[2012/06/02 06:33]  Sethos closes his eyes as he feels the wave of fire go voer his body. The cloths he is wearing ignores and burns to ash. Being a demon himself... he has quite a high resistence to heat. Still is causes his fur to become singed quit e abut, making it curl. The mana beast hit him, causing him to stagger back. it doe snot catch him flat footed as he rolls witht he blow Sethos ends up slammed against the wall and Xian hitting the railing, rolling down the ramp that is behind him.
[2012/06/02 06:35]  Zarcoon stumbled and fell to the ground from the combonation of dru's last moment strikes and the supprise attack by bahti, however as they each made contact, another pyroclastic surge would erupt from the demon hot enough to set cloth ablaze. pushing himself up the demon wayvered as it lashed out with a breath attack against dru and bahti.
[2012/06/02 06:35]  Radem nods his head. "Yeah. Or at least the pool got it," he says. He glances over, trying to see what he can of the remaining battle.
[2012/06/02 06:37]  Taketa tries to stand up, slowly but surely. "..I-I have to get to the temple.. G-get these burns fixed..Aah.." He'd grit his teeth as he finally managed to stand. "There's a backdoor to this place, isn't there?"
[2012/06/02 06:39]  Dru stumbles backward, the last of her ki pooling in one paw "Atarni damn you...." flinging it with all she had at the demon, again aiming at it's head, the force of it perhaps enough to snap it's neck back and break it "DIE DAMMIT!"  barely noting Bahiti there. If nothing else at least she might be lucky and interrupt the breath of fire
[2012/06/02 06:40]  Radem merely nods and gestures to the scorched door behind him. "That way," he says, moving out of the way. He reaches out briefly as though he were going to help, but decides to let the combatant rise under his own power if he can. "Good luck at the temple," he says, looking over the fox to gauge the severity of the burns.
[2012/06/02 06:40]  Bahiti Valentine cried out as her feet got rather severely burnt from the attack and she stumbled and fell as the beast pushed itself back up again. For all the pain though, she was a resourceful one; she couldn't possibly avoid the breath of fire with her wounded feet, but! She suddenly spat a glob of saliva, grabbed it with her water control, and would launch it around the incoming flames to try and get it close enough to shoot into the pit demon's mouth!
[2012/06/02 06:41]  Taketa nods, heading towards said door. The burns would be moderate to severe, his hand and shoulder taking the worst of it. His side would be burnt, but not nearly as badly.
[2012/06/02 06:50]  Sethos growls as he recovers from being smashed against the wall. Quickly he tries to cause the demon to stop its attack by taking a breath, opening his muzzle wide and exhaling quickly. His energy is starting to grow low himself but there is enough in him for on very strong blast. the air distorts and another ear ringing blast come from him. It is a bit wide but the air builds up infront of it. He knows it wont kill the demon.. far from strong enough bit it will sure push it against the walk way or make it slide several feet.
[2012/06/02 06:54]  Zarcoon was full on bellowing out scorcing flames. the small amount of spit wasn't enough to prevent the torrent of flames, the blow from the bunny however had suprising power, jerking the demon's head back and snapping several joints, bits of it started to crack as it stood there, twitching some as a pillar of fire erupted into the sky, sparks and embers raining down. then the shockwave hit and the demon was blown against a pillar. trying to get up one more time the demon was about to make another strike when the pillar wayvered, and fell, crushing the demon underneath it's heavy mass. the moment the demon was struck by the falling object it started to burn away, as if paper was caught on fire. chunks of it fell to the ground as it was falling, the chunks condensing and forming into a series of objects covered in dust, sut, and ash. THERE WAS LOOT TO BE HAD!
[2012/06/02 06:59]  Dru watches as the combinations of attacks and a bit of luck seem to finish off the demon, watching it burn away. Still stood, but after a time she'd fall to one knee, shaking with fatigue "Wow....that was fun" she smirks, and falls onto her side. Arm bleeding still, burnt on her shoulder and on her legs where her skirt had caught flame. Though for some reason she was happy and amused
[2012/06/02 07:00]  Songtail trots up the stairs, shivering with fright. "Is... is it dead?"
[2012/06/02 07:02]  Bahiti Valentine groaned a little as she got shoved a little forwards by the shockwave residual as well, and of course, with her luck, she managed to get a chunk of crumbling pillar over her right leg, pretty much snapping the bone in half at the shin. The pain that shot through her made her cry out even louder than when her feet had gotten damaged. She ended up writhing on the floor in agony! ...She gets injured a whole lot, realy! Poor gal must be unlucky!
[2012/06/02 07:02]  Radem ventures to the edge of the platform on which his own battle had taken place, knife still in his hand. "Everyone all right?" he asks once the din has settled down.
[2012/06/02 07:03]  Sethos pants as he holds onto the hammer with both paws, one by the head and one by the handle. "Fun to thoes who watch there friend get mauled and not give a damn." eyes look at the pile that remains of the demon.. then looking between everyone else. Standing basicly naked.. as his cloth sgot burned off he turns and starts to walk to the ramp behind him.. to check on Xian and Barret who are both in that direction.
[2012/06/02 07:07]  Dru couldn't move much, far too fatigued, though she could speak "I give more than a damn hon. Or I wouldn't fight at all" looking to Bahiti, sadly barely able to reach out to her "Hon....Naneth...you were brave" looking to the unconcious Xian too "Is he alive?"
[2012/06/02 07:11]  Bahiti Valentine groaned as the agony from her broken shin ebbed into a very noticeable and painful throbbing sensation. She was still seeing stars, and feeling very nauseous, but seemed otherwise okay. She wasn't in any condiiton to recongize the fact she'd just been spoken to however. She hadn't even noticed Songtail's appearance, understandably. "Nngh, agh...! No we're n-aagh! Not alright!" she called out, at least able to answer the general question that Radem had asked. "Oh Gods it hurts!"
[2012/06/02 07:14]  Radem puts his weaponry away and strides down the ramp. "Who needs help getting to the temple, I suppose that'd be a better question," he says.
[2012/06/02 07:17]  Sethos looks over to the large mana beast "Someone get him.. I have my own I need to take care of." prioritys.. everyone has them. Walking out of view he returns with a passed out, bloody Barret on his paws.
[2012/06/02 07:20]  Songtail brings his flute to his lips and begins to play a triumphant, exaultant tune- it was more than just music, as those who could hear it would feel a sense of inner courage and an itching sensation as the pain from their wounds would begin to ease and heal- though the healing was minor.
[2012/06/02 07:27]  Sethos walks over to the rest, tilting his head as he hears the song and can feel its effects. Leaning the feline against the ledge, so he i sprope dup he can not help but check out the remains of the demon hat they killed.
[2012/06/02 07:27]  Radem looks back at the winged canine, ears perking up at the melody, and he manages a little smirk, though brief as he looks back and spots more wounded. He looks at the rabbit on the ground. "She okay? And I can carry Xian to the temple if needs be, though odds are if you leave him alone long enough, he'll heal up.
[2012/06/02 07:29]  Dru would feel better thanks to Songtail, and just about manage to get to her feet "Ow....." noting something in the wreckage she'd pick it up, it looked like a crystal "I'll be okay" she murmers "We need to get this off Bahiti"

[2012/06/02 07:38]  Sethos eyes around the remains. Seems he tug son the set of horns that are left. More so then anythign else.
[2012/06/02 07:40]  Radem frowns. "Sorry, didn't notice for some reason." He walks over toward the pillar and Bahiti. "Need a hand moving this?"
[2012/06/02 07:42]  Zarcoon's horns would only allow sethos to take a single horn. the rest would seem to turn to smoke as he tried to grab them.
[2012/06/02 07:43]  Songtail continues to play the song, the minor healing continuing, though it was only really useful for small wounds.
[2012/06/02 07:47]  Bahiti Valentine nodded some at Radem. "Yes please." she said. She could feel the healing energies from Songtail take effect on her burnt feet, slowly beginning to mend them, although her leg remained quite broken. "Nngh... Who's healing me...?" she'd manage to moan.
[2012/06/02 07:53]  Radem shrugs. "I just know it's not me," he says, crouching to get himself a good grip on the stone. "This might sting a little, I'm sorry if it does. Hold still," the rabbit advises, and then picks up the chunk of stone, lifting it away from Bahiti and setting it down a couple feet away.
[2012/06/02 07:55]  Sethos takes one one horn with him as he pick sup the passed out feline. Seems his wounds have closed.. but he is still passed out. "Want me to come back.. and carry you to the temple ?" tilts hiead as he asks Bahiti.
[2012/06/02 07:56]  Bahiti Valentine cried out in pain as the stone finally came off of her leg, but then breathed a little in relief, despite the incredible throbbing pain in her leg. "Nngh... fuck..." she'd mutter. "Thanks... I appreciate that... Nngh...." She looked at Sethos afterwards and shook her head some. "Take care of th-aagh! That guy... I'll be- I'll be f-fine!"
[2012/06/02 07:58]  Radem winces a little. "Sorry," he says. "Oh, and before I forget, thank all of you for helping with those damned things. They appear to be getting restless in their cave," he says, "and they've got people that can attack you physically and mess with your head. I suspect we'll be seeing more of them."
