The Observations Of A Wandering Minstrel...Part Two
« on: April 01, 2017, 03:57:19 am »
Another book of tales is being wrote as we speak to follow on the success of the first print! IM GOING TO BE MINTED!

Humiliation Of The Evil

Stripped bare, humiliated, robbed of all but my tears,
The paladins of light abused me and I realised my fears,
That surrounded by such so called noble men,
There was to be found no civility or fair justice among them.

Paraded and manacled, my broken free spirit,
I cried to all who could listen but they would not hear it,
My future was condemned because of my past,
This alliance that was forced upon me could not last.

My crime was to be a sinner of wordly desire,
That dark liquids could ignite my dulled internal fire,
Why would I give others my precious supply of otherworldly drug,
For they hadn't read this selfish black heart properly, those radiant thugs.

Taken bare to the orc bitches tent, told to tell the truth I had always said,
But its hard to tell the ignorant anything that isn't already made up in their head,
I'm bound by a greater being than any foolish mortal man,
To only tell the truth in all things, whenever I can.

False inquisitor condemned me, hiding the blackness of his own guilt,
But under his idiot questions I stood strong, I did not wilt,
Openly the man who condemns is guilty of some crime,
If only its wasting my precious and important time.

My companions tried to help, in their foolish own way,
The lord cold boxed me good, I was to have a hell of a night and day,
To my surprise the dragon man turned out to have a clever wit,
But he succeeded in only confusing the lord and making himself look like a tit.

So here is the moral of this fine bardic and true tale,
That when partying with those who call themselves good all evil will fail,
Not through the mistakes of those who's path is dark and judgement is sound,
But the blind ignorant stupidity of those who claim to have the moral high ground.

Those Who See

Emperor! The Chosen Herald of Light,
Paragon of Virtue and Good,
His sword arm guided with godly might,
Nothing but vengeance to be found in his iron wrought blood.

His gaze pierces all those who are weak of spirit,
He bolsters those who in friendship stand near.
With compassion he teaches all the true merits,
To fight the demons with justice and good, not fear.

So why when he looks into my never born soul,
A chill runs down my cowardly spine.
For deep in my black, corrupt soul hole,
He may see something I am yet to find.

Does he desire me to be one of the chosen?
To herald him in life and in dirge him in death.
Does he not know that this Bard of the Ages is broken,
And fears nothing but his own last mortal breath.

The Queen of Light

The first meeting did not go well,
Between Queenie and me.
To all the outsiders,
That's was plain to see.

A geas she has placed,
Upon this little kitty,
To behave and redeem,
To be a knight of the city.

Sweet Queenie don't you know,
That us fey cant fall but nor can we rise,
We are of our own world,
And as free as the open skies.

So, understand my dear,
That I am corrupt to the core.
For whatever I get,
I will always want more.

I have darkness in inside me,
The sonnets of screams of passion I do dream.
But I lay bare my plans upon thee,
As I dance and insult you in glorious glee...

Beastkin song

We have four paws, that makes us pawsome,
Your all just wish that you were this awesome,
We have great fur,- claws and fangs,
And were found - in all the lands,

We can be what we want, but were always best,
Better than everyone, give us a test
We can wear fine clothes, but we dont have feet!
But your not allowed to kill us just to eat!

So we tell you we are the greatest!
Its not your fault your not the best,
And will tell you all about us,
In the beastkin song!

Some people hate us, and thats not fair,
So we will pull tongues and give them a stare,
We can be silly and sometimes mean,
And sometimes not what we seem,

Whats not to like, were cute and cuddly,
Well actually some of us are just but ugly!
Looking like we have been hit  face
But we are proud of our race!

So we tell you we are the greatest!
Its not your fault your not the best,
And will tell you all about us,
In the beastkin song!

So now ill have to end this little ditty,
Its been fun to sing, what a pity.
So pick up your swords, shields and bows,
And forget your Highs and lows.

Brush off your tail, preen your ears,
Remember all your hopes and discard your fears,
Howl out how and paw some you are,
Make it heard to everyone near and afar!

So we tell you we are the greatest!
Its not your fault your not the best,
We can fight real dirty,
And in times get really flirty,

So we tell you we are the greatest!
Its not your fault your not the best,
And will tell you all about us,
In the beastkin song!

The First

Of ancient primogenitors,
Of the first I now speak.
All humans sired after them,
Pale shadows, they are meek.

Aroden, the last of the first,
Raised the Starstone from the depths of the sea.
Ascended though this act alone,
To lord over all he sees.

Of no mortal man stock was he,
Born of the heaven's, he came to rule.
Piercing otherworldly eyes and platinum hair,
Raising humans to prominence forever more.

With hammer and truth he smote his foes,
With order and good he did lord.
Any who stood against his work,
With the Starstones power he made fool's.

But lost to this and all words was he,
After a godly storm that had lasted three weeks.
And we await his rise again from northern lands,
To rule again the Empire of fellow man.

Aroden the Kings of gods

Aroden, king of king, god of gods,
To his presence I will bow.
Of his deeds to aid his lowly kin,
I will shout and proclaim so here me now.

Of a miracle in old Egorian city,
In the hell infested pits of Cheliax its found.
His footsteps turned red roses white,
To leave a riot of colours for leagues around.

He slew the daemons of Deskari,
Sent their worshippers scurrying to the caves.
Followed the siege of Absalom by Nex,
And in doing so its loyal population he saved.

He slew wizards and kings in short order,
Anyone who would threaten the rule of upstart man.
He confided in none, not even his disciples,
He would not tell them of his final plan.

After defeating deamon lord Ibdurgeian,
And the wizard king of Tat Baphon.
He left the humans to fend for themselves,
And to his own devices he had left and gone.

The Lady And Whip

Down in the bowels of Oakroot,
Just north of the Lismore border.
The lords of Lismore did fight,
Against mercenaries intent on pillage and slaughter.

A woman was queen of this murderous band,
She was a whipper with it coiled tight in hand.
She put the lords flat upon their arse,
To me watching it was a laughable farce.

In the alcoves hidden from view,
The cur of Pittax sang inspiring songs.
What clumsy tunes that he had penned,
Intent I think for uncultured throngs.

I snatched up my fiddle,
Put bow to the strings,
I made such powerful counter tunes,
That once again he fled on false wings.

When the tight fight was done,
So close that even I had to aid the injured.
The whippy woman did stand triumphant,
proud on the damage done to the fallen.

Needless to say she’s probably now a lady,
The lords have a habit of recruiting any unto their nobility.
Maybe a beholder or hell hound next?
Or a goblin rouge more to our pity.
