With the threat of the First Kingdom looming on the horizon, the guard has set up Checkpoint Alpha near the marketplace, where visitors from the portal and the gryphons and port come into Lismore. Their orders are to briefly interview anyone wanting to enter the city about their reason for visiting Lismore, and make a note about it. Unknown faces will additionally be asked for names and where they currently stay over night. Questions and complaints can be handed in at the guard tower at the Officer of the Day.
OOC: This is to simulate a reaction to the ongoing threats against Lismore, and to give guard players an opportunity to RP. If no player guard is present, everyone wanting to pass by the checkpoint should take into account that they will be asked by the two NPC guards about their purpose for entering the city. People not known around the city will also be asked for their name and where they live.
