The Desert's Rebirth
« on: January 24, 2016, 11:48:16 am »
After hard work and supported by many of the citizens of Lismore's various factions, the old desert faction's new home has been established. The new faction that inhabits it, born out of the ashes of the desert, is called the renegade alliance, in reference to the fact that the new faction is already composed of one other, with a common basis in that the people split off from an oppressive and amoral leadership.

Those who share in a similar situation and find they have difficulty fitting in may try to seek a home in the new desert.

Kami, the faction's leader, has expressed that their new home is entirely open to the public, but wishes those who would like to visit to have a basic understanding of the area they'll be going to.

1. The renegades are a partly militant faction. It should be understood that the area that they reside in is in fact a fortress, and that one can expect to see many armed individuals throughout the premise.

2. The renegades make open use of magic considered dangerous or immoral by some. While they practice 'clean' versions of these dark arts, it is very common to see soul, death, blood magic and necromancy practiced in the desert. While their misuse to harm others is absolutely against Renegades law, their practice is absolutely not.

3. The renegades employ several races which may appear monstrous to some. Assaulting these creatures will be addressed as an assault on anyone else would be.

4. Punishment in the desert fortress is harsh. The renegades believe in enforcing order by example. Understand that if you commit blatantly illegal acts in renegades territory, you will be subject to punishments more severe than those you might find elsewhere. Deliberate assault, murder or deliberate attempts to cause widespread disorder in the alliance ranks, for example, will likely be treated with execution.

This aside, Kami only requests that those who visit understand that they're visiting a world which is different from the one they might be used to. This will be the best way to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings.

Xahu will at some point make an official visit to the desert.
Also they would be debating installing a portal to the desert to facilitate travel.
