LT Valentine has opened a file on the ongoing battle against the Sky Realm's underworld forces. Distributed among the guards is the intel they were able to gather thus far:
According to the intel gained from the interrogation of the prisoner "Soldier", this is not a single enitity, but the whole criminal network of the realm/dimension Lismore is a part of too.
A complete power structure is in place, with a mysterious kingpin at the top, followed by overbosses, bosses, their officers and the usual thugs.
This also means that the way a criminal cell acts, may vary a lot.
The armed robbery, kidnapping and murder is done by a criminal cell led by someone called Smoker, who is an overboss. His bosses are called Joanna (she is the one responsible and dealing with the kidnapping), Sledge (the one who killed one of ours) and Ghost (who is assumed to be an infiltrator/assassin type commanding others of that type).
During the ransom exchange, intel could be gained that indicated that those groups were watched by a representative of someone higher in the hierarchy. This lets us asume that loyalty is not absolute among these criminals and certain animosities might be exploited by us.
There is an underworld contact called Bain that apparently had dealings with our local underworld community of the Phoenix. Further details on how to get at the aforementioned bosses are most likely to be gained from him.
After the unexpected visit of another Overboss called Riddkah, it is safe to assume that Smoker and his men stepped out of line with their violent act, and lost the support of the whole syndicate. It is also safe to assume that by lending aid to the pursuit of Smoker, the other crime cells want to get rid of that element amongst them.
This status report can be added to by any guard or witness or informant who discovers something relevant to this investigation.
