We are going to have
Winter Celebrations in Lismore this year. Nothing fancy, just a little something to raise the spirits and bring some warmth that stems from the heart in the middle of the cold of winter. Since Lismore is a melting pot of different cultures and faiths, these celebration are an open canvas, allowing everyone to show a bit of his or her individual cultural background, if they so desire. The event will start with the winter solstice at
December 21th and will be around for about a week.
Centerpiece and gathering place will be the new granary, where there will be an open buffet and a presentation of a wide range of our head farmer's delicious brews, be it wine or mead. In addition, faction leaders will receive letters from Lord Athian inviting them to take part in the celebrations, maybe by performing something for the general public (for example things like a little magic show for the kids and those young-at-heart, a racy dance-number to lift the spirits
and more or a scavenger hunt set up by the druids). Of course people outside of the factions are also welcome to offer their skills, so if for example you play an instrument, feel free to grab it and stop by to let us dance to the music. If you are planning something more elaborated, please let us know ahead of time.
Attendance is, of course, by choice. So if the idea of a winter celebration isn't something for your char, no one will force you to join in. That said, we are aiming to have a little something for everyone on most of the Celebration days. Please vote up there what SL times you would be able to join in such events , so that we try and plan accordingly. Feel free to give some feedback and your ideas in this thread.
Thank you!
