The Morning Star returned today from an expedition to an unknown island that had been confirmed as the hiding place of one of the Black Mirror fragments the Empire is currently looking for. One such shard was retrieved and currently is being kept safe at the Versthaler Tower, as was reported by the Matriarch of the family clan and Cruentus herself, Lady Cecilia Versthaler. Nobody was wounded during the mission, but the shard seems to leave a mark on anyone touching it, so utmost caution is advised when studying it. Amira Versthaler is currently being treated and under observation due to the symptoms of being exposed to the shard.
