It's been determined that there was likely no real attempt to murder, but rather that a bit of good fun went too far. Aelion has been advised to be more gentle and in better judgement about moments like this, and has been released to his father's custody to recover from injuries. Once he is deemed healthy to work, Aelion is to serve the smithy freely for a period of no less than three weeks, after which time his sentence will be considered served.
It has also been recommended to him that he apologize to house aurumcauda when he is able to do so.
