The Blood Bull's plague!

A mysterious plague has been set upon lismore ever since the attack of the blood bull  - this magical plague is currently in lismore's well-connected water supply, and was given to several individuals during the fight by way of blood contact.

The symptoms of this plague have begun - those who have been effected will experience the weakness and nausea that come along with a mild sickness.

In later stages, the effected will begin experiencing nightmares, and hearing the voice of Maxwell in their dreams, talking about making a better world by ascending one's form - which could lead characters to do any multitude of things!

In the final stages, characters will experience the effects of significant sickness, and will begin experiencing waking nightmares, as well as hearing Maxwell's voice in the waking world. This magical plague can be partially resisted using magic and antimagic, but a cure must be developed - as the plague is discovered, Abbadon will lead the curing efforts.

A small group of people headed by lord Xian's son prince Xahu, and lady Relina of Zenko, have gathered in the market area and formed a bucket brigade to help empty the water well in there, which was poisoned from the remains of one of the nightmare creatures that fell into the well upon its defeat.

The well was successfully empty and the workers wearing protective clothing all avoided contamination. The buckets and clothing were burned to dispose of any possible contaminated materials.

It remains to be seen if the water will remain clear once the well fills back up.

No water should be drawn from that well until the authorities can confirm that it's safe for use!

During tests conducted after the cleaning of the well, the city's head librarian has come up with mixed results - the bulk of the contamination has been removed from the water supply, but it seems that there are still remnants of the plague, and the water remains lightly contaminated - While this may seem a failure, Abbadon has announced that with the bulk of the contaminate gone, it is now possible to eradicate the remainder through magical means - he is calling for this plan to be put into motion soon (Wednesday, 10/2/2013!), followed by a class intended to teach willing and able mages and healers on the island how to cure those already infected by the plague (Thursday, 10/3/2013!).
