Xela and Cala were assaulted in Phoenix Castle. Xela has been kidnapped by the same batcat who is wanted for attempted murder in the city. Cala is recovering from her initial attack and from another assault later on when she was attacked in the Tavern - same suspect blamed. Xela's whereabouts are unknown.

With Xela's capture, phoenix is left fairly leaderless, I Valencia Versthaler will assume temporary command with Cala as my advisor, at least until Hazel shows up or Xela is safely returned and can resume her leadership.

Valencia has been kidnapped from her home by Julian. In the absence of Xela and Valencia, I will be issuing orders when Hazel is not available. Standing orders are for our miners to continue their increased shifts, our guards to follow their updated patrol times and posts, and our other members to attempt to collect as much information as possible on Julian, who is being held responsible for the kidnapping of our leaders. He is NOT to be engaged in single combat, if found. Bring any information you come accross directly to me or Hazel.

Having escaped from Julian's captivity, I am resuming leadership of Phoenix. Work shifts for miners is now half an hour less a day than your standard shifts.
Guards should have been given revised guard and patrol plans that must be followed to the letter.

A bar brawl turned sour has resulted in the kidnapping of Sera. She was last seen being taken away by a blue lizard and a human-werewolf at the Phoenix Docks. The group are assumed to be pirates, their captain, a Lion remains in Phoenix custody.
Anyone with any information reguarding Sera's wareabouts should contact Phoenix immedietly.

Sera has bravely managed to escape from the ship she was captive on!
Using her directions combined with information gained from the former captain currently in phoenix custody, Phoenix is confident it can track down these pirates and bring them to justice.
More information on the attack operation will be spread in the coming days.

In retaliation to the recent trouble and grief that a group of what can only be described as pirates have caused around Phoenix, Xela has requested a team to band together to attack and ensure they do not cause any more trouble.
A meeting will be called in the next few days to organise this event. Xela is looking for people to fight and someone to lead the assault as, due to the location she is unable to take part.
Those who take part will be paid well and this will be a great opportunity to send a message to pirates that such actions will not be tolerated.

Planning to hold meetings for the next few days to select someone to lead. This leader will be selected based on IC interactions and votes of approval from other IC character.
The actual assault, I plan to run next Friday at around 4pm SLT onwards. This is an 'open' event that I intend to leave as unplanned as I can. If the group chooses to sneak, assault, burn down the ship, board and slay or even capture alive, all is good! Act IC, and the event will proceed as you all influence it!

During the defence against the onslaught of spiders, the campsite has sadly been burned to the ground.
While the area is cleared and rebuilt, residents are permitted to use the lounge of the castle and the tavern as places to sleep.

Former Phoenix member Dagger has gone missing. Her fiance Sono Andel is asking for support in gathering information that will lead to her safe return or reveal her fate.
Sono is offering a Reward to those who's information is considered valuable to the investigation.
Should any informaition come to light, please pass it on to Sono Andel. If the informant wishes to remain Anonymous, please give the information to one of the Phoenix Miners who will in turn deliver it to Sono.

The hunt for information concerning the disappearance of Dagger, former member of Phoenix is over.
A Reliable source has informed Sono Andel that Dagger was eliminated for being a threat to the safety of Phoenix.
There are no plans for a funeral.

Phoenix Dock Guard and local Water Demon, Bahiti Valentine, requests that all members of the Phoenix look under their beds or around their bedrolls...or whatever it is they are sleeping on, and keep an eye out for a smooth phallic object carved in wood with the inscription "R.J." on its hilt.
The object in question resembles certain distinctly canine features.
A reward of eight silver coins is promised to whoever returns it to Bahiti.

Word goes around by the workers that Valencia and Xela have been spotted talking to each other, conversation that had been picked up by them would reveal that Valencia resigned from Phoenix and revealed to have been working on her own faction. The current standing between the two factions remains unknown but the friendship between Valencia and Xela seemed doubtful now.

Phoenix has shifted its focus to its Tavern, and has declared itself a full fledged Brothel. Workers have already been hired and contacts are being set up to ensure satisfied customers.
Construction has begun on Phoenix Castle, in preparation to move the brothel into the castle itself.

Luca Sandpaw is currently recovering from the pirate attack, the backfiring gun having burnt the jackles Right paw and the ride side of his face, theres a fear he may be blinded in the right eye.

After a fierce battle and a fair amount of fire, the brothel is looking a little worse for wear. The bar and tables are on order as they are mostly black ash at this point. Though things will return to normal soon enough.
And rest easy the one responsible has been... Dealt with.

The bar is back up and running at full, though now the once wooden bar is made of a more fireproof stone! So feel free to set hot pans on it without a hot pad too, much more durable.

Luca has been seen returning to lismore, having taken on new clothes and a new haircut to start running the tavern at phoenix once again.

A slight change in policy has been decided. All escorts are to ensure that pregnancy does not occur with their customers.
All female escorts are not to become pregnant and must drink a Morning After Tea if required after each session.
All male escorts should strongly encourage their female customers to drink the Tea to ensure pregnancy does not occur.

There were reports of a strange bright light filling the Caves where the castle is, for almost an hour. It looked like sunlight, many would say. Then suddenly, it sounded like lightning and thunder had also come into the Caves, and after a brighter flash of light, the mysterious light was gone.
Afterwards Hazel was said to enter the castle with severe burns mostly on his back, with Radem following, also with a few bad burns too. Both went upstairs supposedly to treat their wounds.

Kami has managed to escape captivity of the desert and has returned to Phoenix.

After a great deal of peaceful negotiations, lord Lucian of the city of Lismore declared Phoenix no longer a territory of the city, and recognized it a sovereign faction. At same time an alliance treaty between the city of Lismore and Phoenix has been signed by Hazel and Lucian, promising eachother mutual cooperation and support.
The higher ups at Phoenix were informed of this new independent status, though no further management details were given yet. The leaders of Phoenix are to assemble sometime to decide on a body of laws. Until further notice, the current laws still apply.

A lioness was imprisoned in the castle's dungeon after she attacked Radem and Hazel attempting to assassinate them. She was unconscious at the time of imprisonment so interrogation is still pending.

She is taking it easy for now as she rests up from her off-land business, but should become a common face in the caves once more! :D

Phoenix needs YOU!
To prepare for the threat that faces Lismore in the coming month, Phoenix is hiring able bodied workers to help build walls.
In addition, Phoenix is buying large amounts of long life food supplies, wood and timber supplies and pelts.
Lookouts will be posted at the entrance to Phoenix at all times. When the pirates are spotted, the drawbridge will be raised and Phoenix will prepare for siege. However, plans are in place in order to ensure that thoes inside the castle will be safe even in this event. And so all residents of Lismore are urged to seek shelter at Phoenix when the Pirates arrive.

In addition to aiding with the walls when she can, Kini the deep abyss dragoness has made a very generous donation of a boat full of supplies. The supplies include a good deal of cloth, salted fishes and meats, dried fruits, and breads. The dragoness refuses to comment on the matter.

Production at the mine has now shifted towards gathering stone instead of ores. This stone will be used to build up defences, and stockpiled for the rebuilding that will likely be required after the attacks.
A refugee camp is being set up in the main cavern containing the mine, and the usual 1 gold a week fee to live down in phoenix has been dropped.

Another murder has occured, this time Sera has fallen victim.
Raiders have also made landfall and so Phoenix is now on high alert.
All new arrivals will be strip searched. All weapons will be confiscated, returned in time of battle or when leaving. (And this is a faction of rogues, dont think hidden weapons wont be found ;3 )
The drawbridge will be raised at all times, and guards on the barricades will perform searches and give the order when arrivals are OKed.

The assassin is dead!
The assassin, an unnamed otter, was cornered in a cave in the forest and accepted her death without struggle.
Weapons are now permitted in Phoenix and searches are not required, as the immediate threat of assassins is no longer present. But guards will still keep an eye on thoes that arrive and the drawbridge will remain raised at all times.

Sethos has resigned from his role as Brothel manager. The few followers he has left would be seen helping him pack up this things to leave the island.

Phoenix takes a stand!
Given the recent actions of Lismore's leadership and the harsh taxes imposed upon Phoenix for no good reason, Phoenix has decided to take a stand.
Phoenix no longer supports the city and its Valentine leadership. While no hostile actions will be taken, trading of coal and ores will halt immediately.
Thoes that wish to seek refuge at Phoenix are welcome to do so, however no more than one Valentine will be welcome at Phoenix at a time. All weapons and armour will be removed at the gates, while guards will remain armed.
Should military action be considered, Phoenix also states that tass-mining charges have been fitted into the roof and floor of the caves. Should Phoenix's gates come under attack they will be detonated and the ground under the city will be brought down, destroying the city entirely.

It is with great sadness that I have to announce that a number of members of Phoenix have gone missing in recent days, including Xela herself.
From what has been found out so far, it appears that Collie's pirates may be linked to their disappearance.
