Title: Royal Wedding: Yuna & Ewan
Post by: Xahu Fu Sheng on April 26, 2014, 12:19:42 am
I'm creating this topic here to help coordinate the preparations for Yuna & Ewan's wedding!

So far we're concluded that:

We should look for a date that is good for the key people we want to have around to have this done, preferably as soon as possible!  ;)
Suggestions?

Wasn't this supposed to happen *after* the spring festival? So looking for a date for this while we haven't set one for the other seems a bit rushed.

Alright! Now that the Spring Festival has come to its final day, time to plan for the wedding!

We need the following for the ceremony:

Athian will be handling the food props so he's needed for that, but his participation in the ceremony itself and the party afterwards are optional to him (though I'd like to have him around!).

So, when is it a good time for people? I'm gonna go on a whim and suggest this coming Saturday! How does that sound? And what time is good?

Somewhere between 1 PM and 3 PM SLT would be nice?

You pretty much know my usual times from my post at the council thread. Though I can manage time slots outside of that at times, it mostly comes down to the actual date for the event. Given that will need to set up some decorations for it, please have it no sooner than sunday the 11th (will be away at my parents place before because the family is getting together during the ritual friend's and family viewing of the Eurovision Song Contest).

Saturday or Sunday would be fine, from 11am SLT & out. I shouldn't be busy this weekend!
I may be at my parents' place helping my Mom if Dad heads to Drammen over the weekend for further inheritance settlements, but should at worst only lead to occasional slowdowns & AFKs, I'll still make it.

Ironically I am attending a wedding in RL this Saturday. Sunday would be a better day for me but I may be back in time on Saturday. However this is not something I can guarantee at this point. I will let you know if this changes

Well the unfortunate thing of Sunday is, some of the Europeans have work the following Monday, and I'll assume the scene will possible drag out well past midnight for us.

Would love to participate with one of my characters, but this Saturday I am gone for the night, partying at a club ;)

So, I can probably make it every other night or morning.

Sunday, at or after 1-2 PM SLT will probably work best for me

1pm on Sunday is usually standing lunch with the SO, so I'll have to see what I can do. I'll try to arrange dinner instead, or do lunch earlier, but I might be closer to 1:30 than 1.

And Yuna & Ewan are now married!

The ceremony went without a hitch, only one wedding crasher (Lira!  ;) ), and the party afterwards was a delight as well!

Thanks to everybody who took the time to come in and participate!
Sorry those who wanted in but weren't invited. Sometimes invitation-only events happen; we try to keep them to a minimum so everyone can be free to participate.

Here are a few pictures of the event:
