Kun Qalasi / Kun Qalasi Calendar (ancient Egyptian calendar)
« Last post by Ashtyn on May 22, 2022, 02:39:25 am »
Below is a calendar indicating special dates for the Qalasians. It's a shameless copy from an ancient Egyptian calendar. The fennecs followed it more-or-less loosely, except the dates highlighted, those were events/festivities strictly observed, with descriptions at the bottom.

General Discussion / Re: 2022 CHANGES TO THE RP!

(...)but with some luck, it should be good to go on the first week or so of January 2022.

Yeah, about that...  :-X

So basically life is unpredictable of late, and there's no set date anymore. We're still working on it though, promise! KQ is still up as the current RP area.

General Discussion / THE GREAT REFIT HAS BEGUN!
« Last post by Ashtyn on December 27, 2021, 10:19:40 pm »
We have started moving things around for the refit of the RP. The 'main area' is right now under construction.

For those RPing at the Qalasian desert, the portal to Lismore there would have suddenly and mysteriously shut down, and all attempts to re-open it have failed. The scholars are investigating the problem, but any Lismorean character there is to be considered stuck in the desert.

We will keep people informed of the refit project in notices and in the forums.

General Discussion / 2022 CHANGES TO THE RP!
« Last post by Ashtyn on December 20, 2021, 10:49:50 pm »
Hey folks! After quite a while with the familiar setting on the main floating islands in the RP, some big changes are now coming, and here's a summarized explanation of what's going on, both IC and OOC!

In short, OOC, we are tearing down the floating islands and moving the RP to islands on the sea. The current Lismorean civilization will practically disappear, victim of an apocalyptic cataclysm that will change everything! ...if you have anything rezzed on the RP areas right now and want to pick it up so it doesn't get auto-returned, now is the time to do it!  ;)

In its place, islands at the seas will become the main RP areas. There will be a main island with a quaint medieval city on it and a vast underground community, and an island mostly with forests. The cultural aspects of the whole thing will be elaborated upon in more depth later once we're done with all the building.

The fennecs' desert and Kun Qalasi will remain unchanged in regards to the rebuilding of the RP.

IC, after years of fighting the enemy known ominously as The Fog, the dimension where Lismore existed will disappear. Where did it go? That's a mystery to be solved in the RP if you like! Just like that, they will blink out of existence. The portal they had connecting Lismore to Kun Qalasi will collapse, and couldn't be re-opened despite people's best efforts. ...which means any Lismoreans who were visiting the desert will be spared from going byebye with the rest of the place.

Some other Lismoreans will escape the event through other means/explanations so don't feel tied to that one as the only way out if you don't want your characters to disappear. There's plenty of room for imagination.

So, to install the new location and have it all built, we will temporarily move the entry point to the desert, which will remain active for RP in the meantime. If you need assistance coming up with ideas for why your character would be there, contact some of us in the staff and we'll gladly help.

The main RP area will be closed this coming Thursday, December 23, 2021, and installation process of the new main RP area will begin and if all goes well should take about a week to have it all set up, but we have no timeframe yet on when it will be open for RP yet because that depends on a lot of factors, but with some luck, it should be good to go on the first week or so of January 2022.

Have any questions, any comments, please post them below!
